i know alot of you disagree with weightlifting, but ive been doing it since i was 12. Ive always been self conscious and do a little lifting here and there everyday. Taking saturday and sunday off. Anywayz, ill start off:

I weight 159 pounds right now and i just maxed at 245 pounds.

Ermm i normally weigh like 160lbs, but with the school holidays iv bloated upto 168lbs:(

I dont train hardcore or anything, but in one rep the most iv done is 154lbs. Iv never tried higher cos i almost killed myself doing that haha
I weigh about 170 right now and I usually do 5 sets of 5 with 225. The last time I maxed out was about two years ago and I hit 295. I'm sure I would do more now but there aren't any significant positives to maxing out. On of my favorite (and best chest routines) is to put on about 50lbs more than you can bench and have someone hold the bar for you. Then you take it off the resting arms and let the bar down as slowly as possible. Then your helper and you get it back up to the resting arms. Also, a great routine is Putting 3 25lb weights on the bar and going until you can't rep any more, keep holding the bar up and have two people take off a 25lb weight on both sides simutaneously. Then go with the 2 25 lbs weights until you can't and then they repeat and you go with the one 25 lb weight until you cant. Then the bar will feel so heavy and you have to rep the bar until you either can't or realize you could do it for an hour.

i weigh around 250 and none of you guys would beleive me if i told you what i can bench. :p
I'm guessing 450lbs. You would have to have been working out regularly for several years to get that strong though. I've been going since I was 16 very regularly.
theres no reason to lie, so go ahead and tell us tommy. Im shutting for 10 pounds up a week this summer. goign to be hard but 245 wasnt to bad, seeing how i was weight drained to begin with.

LOL.

no way man, im not hassim rahman (he can bench 500lb) 320 is what i can do man, ive took a lot of dough off a lot of big guys. lol
now that sounds resonable. Mike Tyson could bench 250 when he was 13years old , and he could press it 10 times. he weight 180 then. He had barely hit puberty
I could do 320 in highshcool. Lance did you check out my pec routines? They work very well, especially for getting your hand back quick after punches.
sure did, the last few nights i have been doing 6 sets of 6 reps with 205. I tried 5 sets of 5 with 225 but i had trouble with the last set so i i just lowered the weight and added a set and a rep. i was able to get 275 again AFTER my workout so im positive 300 is in the near future. Thats always been my goal.
Very nice my friend. If you have a spotter try the negative routine where you put on more weight than you can get up and let it down as slow as possible. That also gets your muscles used to heavier weight and how it feels.
i will try that, i actually have a routene that i do after i max, like the last time i maxed, i immediately added 25 pounds to each side just to see what it felt like, i got it up on about 1/4 the way. Somewaht like what you do. I always have a spotter when im maxing, because we all have our bad days, somedays i have a hard time getting 250.
until i get my bench up to something respectable Ill keep my numbers to myself.

i can do a ton of pushups though lol. dont know why it doesnt translate into the bench damit
well strength in bench press comes in doing it alot, if you bench pressed as much as you did pushups , you would bench more. We will not make fun of you man. I was a scrawny little kid until i learned to box and started lifting, but the body grows up. i now weigh around 160 usually and bench almost 300 pounds but that was because ive been lifting for a very long time. There was a point in my life were i weighed 125 and could only bench 125. Its alright man.

Haha dont be ashamed man, mine is pretty bad but i still posted it. I can barely bench my own weight lol but i prefer doing more reps at a lower weight than going for big weights.
alot of reps is the way to go, but i just like knowing that i will be phsycally stronger than most of my opponents.
I've been doing weights for 2-3 years. Sometimes there'd be lenghty periods over several months in which I'd be right into the weights and that's where I'm at my best. Then there are occasions (including the last month as of late) in which I am slack and don't do a goddamn thing.
Right now... I am 5'9"/198lbs with 28% Body Fat (I'm a bit of a tubby) and the best I ever did... A SINGLE ONE MAX BENCH PRESS... was 253lbs. It took a hell of a lot out of me... I don't know if I can do more or less right now... but at the age of 21 with 22 just around the corner... and knowing how tall I am and all the time I have... I really do wish I was in much better shape and max bench pressing A LOT MORE! :D
You don't need to be benching a lot more. That is totally perfect for your size. Work on reflexes my friend.
sounds like you are really out of shape, being able to bench alot also comes with good stamina, even though its only one rep, it can take alot otu of you. IF you can get your body fat down into the single digits, i promsise you your bench will go up.
