I am currently looking for a good pair of new gloves and am just wondering how much would you spend on gloves?

I got hand me down gloves that were $50 bucks while the guy who gave them to me brought $120 gloves to fight in the golden golves tournament in Syracuse. As far as name brand goes, evertlast seems to be the main one I see on most guys at the gym.

Everlast and Reyes are the biggest names for gloves but the name is what your paying for. They are good gloves but look at the material they are made of and you can find very similar quality gloves for half the price. Even the Contender series gloves aren't to bad.

I personaly wouldnt spend any more than $60. Ringside.com has some great gloves for that and under.

I absolutely agree with this post. Go to ringside.com and find a pair there. At my gym, thats almost solely what we use, along with a pair of Reyes or Everlasts thrown in here and there. They have excellent durability, and customer service to. (Along with the fact that they are used at MANY amatuer and professional events)
I just picked up a pair of Pro quality 12oz bag gloves, all leather for $45
