he's not faster than floyd, and i honestly doubt he can hit as hard as floyd was hitting tonight. Floyd would be the bigger man in that fight. Bring it on, im not against it and im not going to say anymore about the delahoya fight or a mosley fight. I think mayweather beats them both again in a UD. Bring it on.

the guy to beat floyd is undoubtidly ricky hatton, in the 2 fights floyds fought against pressure fighters (castillo and oscar) he's been handled and looked dead on the ropes. although i felt oscar just done enough to win he gassed towards the end of the fight something hatton wouldn't do.

lets get the fight made floyd v hatton at 147.

it most probably will be shane mosley next though.

He'd hit harder... but weren't we all having a go at Ricky Hatton a few months ago? There's this other thread in which Hatton wants a go at De La Hoya!

bring on hatton, He's slower than all of them and doesnt hit nearly as hard as mosley an delahoya. What makes u think he'll beat floyd? the only man that can beat floyd is if edison miranda gets a free shot at him. Hatton lately hasnt been the same fighter, floyd could easily keep that guy off of him.

I don't see Shane beating PBF, really. I think Winky and PBF would be a better fight. That being said, it won't happen after B-Hop hunts Winky down and puts him to sleep. As for tonights fight..it went pretty much as I had expected, although DLH was more competitive than I thought he would be...musta been the rage PBF brought on.

What I don't get, is how this was the fight to save boxing. in one corner we have DLH, who Hopkins stopped with a body shot. In the other corner we have PBF who can box, but doesn't have the power to even hurt DLH...add the fact that the fight was as close as it was, and the only thing this fight did for me, was elevate Hopkin's status as a HOF fighter, and make a bigger case why people should want to see Hopkin's come back to fight the Winky's and Calzaghe's of the world.

Like Marvin Hagler, Hop is unappreciated by the majority of the boxing public. All he ever did was train and fight with the heart of a champion in to his 40's..You will miss him and appreciate his greatness once he is gone.

If you had been here for long you would have noticed that Hopkins is my boy! He beat Taylor both times and then handled Tarver IMO.

i saw delahoya hurt plenty of times, i thought he was going to go if floyd landed a few more body shots, he has more pop than you think, he had more than delahoya tonight.
This is the funniest stuff I have heard so far! He ran backwards all night and has POP? LOFL

Hatton would do a job on floyd in my opinion. No disrespect to hoya cus hes my favourite fighter today but nobody can hit to the body like hatton can. Hoya hurt mayweather to the body so what would hatton do. Get it on. I reli would prefer this fight to be at 140 though. 147 isnt hattons best weight but 140 he will do the buisness. Shame about hoya losing because he reli deserved the victory but what can u do. I doubt he will want to go through anouther 4 months of training to get in shape like he was on saturday. He won hands down.

i cant see how you think hoya hurt mayweather to the body. the only time i saw mayweather hit in the body was that little tiem whiel delahoya was holding on the ropes. Delahoya fought well but he didnt deserve anything but the lose.

floyd hit gloves all night long.

I'd still like to see PBF fight some stiffer competition from here on out. He needs to fight Cotto, Hatton, or get Winky to come down in weight. I still say a match between he and Winky would be quite riveting, as it would be furious non stop punching.

winky and non stop punching doesnt belong in the same universe, winky is a very very smart boxer that is very hard to beat. Floyd would have trouble hitting him cleanly but floyd would probabley win. Floyd is more offensive than winky.

Well....I didn't mean it quite as it sounded. I meant during actual exchanges, of course. Yes, Winky is very coy...but when he does let his hands go, it would make for some interesting moments. I aslo figured that if they fought, Winky might not be so cautious, feeling there is no way PBF could hurt him...thus maybe he opens it up.

I'm quite disappointed that Hop signed to fight Winky, in reality. I see no reason why Hop wanted this fight, or what good it could do him. IMO, it's a bad style match up for Bernard, and will further enhance the reputation he has of being a "boring" fighter. Unless Winky stands and throws, this fight will be similar to all 4 of the Taylor fights, between the 3 men.

Hop needs to beat Winky, dispatch Calzaghe, then silence RJ.....then it's time to call it a career, go promote great fights, and get in his Nephew's camp.
