...who would you chose? Consider all aspects to your pick's life before picking!

No rules man. The original post says one, but who cares? You can do it your way, but I think what makes picking only one guy so interesting is that everyone has drawbacks. You have to weigh the good and the bad to find a medium. It will be fun seeing where members find their medium.

Another stipulation: This is current. For example: If you pick Mike Tyson you have been to jail, charged with rape, and are hurting for cash right now.

If you pick Floyd you are healthy and wealthy but just got robbed, and maybe 25 people like you.

Exactly, that's the point! I'm having trouble picking as well. If posters take this somewhat seriously it could end up being really interesting.

Oscar Delahoya - Whether or not he was the best fighter of this generation he is definently in the conversation. He faught the best. He was able to hang with the best even when he was past his best. He will be remembered forever in boxing because of his looks alone. His ability is amazing as well. In his prime he was an extremely exciting fighter. He will soon be worth a billion dollars. He will someday probabley double that with his promotional company. He has a beautiful wife and his life is set. He will have had no ill affects from boxing it seems either.

He may not be my favorite fighter, but if I had to choose to be in one fighters shoes, it would be his, at the age of 34 and already worthmore than half a billion dollars, with a family and an amazing career.

Wow, this is not a **** thread! It says "if you could BE any boxer" not "if you could DO any boxer."

I wouldnt want to have tysons life, his child hood sucked, he was taken in by a stranger at 15, was convicted of rape, was in jail, has a bad reputation, broke now. Horrible life if you ask me.

Whats the heavyweight title mean if you were unhappy during the entire time.

I'd be Foreman or Holmes. They started out real rough, but they are now both worth over $200 million.

I'd choose someone close to my size. I wouldnt feel very good being smaller or too big. Also, not someone with a conturbed life.

Mikkel Kessler seems like a good choice.

That is a damn good choice. As of right now I think I'd chose to be Wladimir Klitschko. He's loaded, educated, and seems to be a class act.

Julio Cesar Chavez. Great career. Multiple division champion. Former number 1 p4p. Future Hall of Famer. A God in Mexico. Has shown no signs of damage attributed to Boxing. What more you want? Chavez is a fighter who can never be poor. Mexico won't let him. His loyal following won't let him. He can squander all his money. And it wouldn't matter. There will always be somebody giving him shiit. Like Chavez said, he ain't paid for a drink in over 15 years. And rarely ever pays for a meal. There's always somebody picking up the tap. He's Julio Cesar Chavez. He's earn the right to drink and eat for free.
