Is Floyd mayweather Ducking ?

Floyd is a four weight world champion beating top quiality fighters including Zab Judah, Arturo Gatti, Jose luis castillo, Diego Corrales and Jesus Chavez to name a few.

Many people say he is ducking.
How is he ducking?
Who is he ducking?
and Why is he ducking?

I think there are two fighters that have what it takes to beat Floyd and they are Ricky Hatton and Oscar de la hoya.

I dont think Hatton is a very tough matchup for Floyd because of his style, and the speed of Mayweather. However, I think DLH is a much better matchup. As far as ducking, people can say that about lots of fighters. Once you get to the top, your going to want the money that comes with it. Some fights will generate alot more than others, hence the DLH fight he's taken.

good thread, well what your saying about the oposition floyd has beaten is entirly true let me explain.

first of all in order.

#1 jesus chavez, the only names on his record was an old ass tom boom boom johnson and the now decesead levander johnson.

#2 ill take my hat off to him against corrales good win but diego had just moved to 135, but was down 5 times.

#3 now castillo is a very diffrent matter, in there first fight jose luis castillo beat floy mayweather by 4 rounds at least it was a robbery. floyd fought him in an imediate rmatch and ran all night winning a ud.

#4 arturo gatti. well going into this fight everybody new gatti was wahed up, and floyd knew this also and seen the big purse that gatti generates.

#5 now zab, zab had just been knocked around the ring by an overhyped journeyman baldomir, zab hasn't been the same since losing to stinx who 4 years ago zab would have ko'd early. oh and zab caused floyd probs in there fight.

if you add nobodys like henry brussles and victoriano sosa is floyd or should i say should floyd realy be considered p4p best, i leave it up to you guy's. not fighting kostya while he was the 140 champ will always haunt him. and you could argue margarito was the better fight than baldomir and certinaly the fight the fans wanted, but alas baldomir was the linal champ.

Tommy, you make some great points as well. I would certainly like to see Floyd matched up against some more fighters that would pose a tougher challenge. That's one of the reasons Im excited about the DLH fight. Hopefully we'll see more of him against the aggressive fighters of the division, in Williams, Margarito, Cotto, etc in the future.
That being said, dont you think its fair to say that some of the same things could be said about the opposition of Calzaghe? I like Joe as much as the next guy, but he hasnt exactly been fighting the cream of the crop either.

joe tried to make fights with rjj b-hop and steve collins, i dont think frank warren donehim much favours either though match making, joes record is up there with b-hop's 20 defences but joe had more champs on his record. floyds carrer defining fight is against oscar if he wins i will respect him for that but joe had his and won his against the next sensation jeff lacy, masterclass.

Jeff Lacy is seriously overrated. He can only throw 2 or 3 punches, and eats straight rights.
I think the reason Joe doesnt get as much respect as he deserves is the fact that there just doesnt seem to be as much quality opposition in his division as we see in other divisions like welterweight, lightweight, and even middleweight. That obviously isnt Calzaghe's fault, but some of the accolades, or lack thereof, are probably a product of that.
Hopefully, some of the up-and-comers of the super middleweight division will be able to provide the spark that the division sort of lacks right now.
Your thoughts ?

Tommy stop sounding Pathetic. I always reply to your threads and like to hear your opinion which is usurely a good reply, But when you dont agree with someone elses opinion you start geting all funny and start moaning.

In my eyes your just a PBF hater which is fine with me. I just cant understand why.

He doesnt have P4P number 1 in the world for nothing.

And Tommy who in your eyes is number 1 P4P today ?
and plaese dont say Joe Calzaghe :D

The facts are at the moment floyd by boxing experts is rated p4p number 1. I agree with you about de la hoya. I hope he beats floyd and can see him doin so. Nice left hook. But Joe calzaghe just doesnt have what it takes at this point in his career to be rated number 1. i am starting a new thread about this tommy so feel free to reply back to me. I like hearing what you have to say.

come may we'll all be composing new p4p lists when oscar ko's floyd, oscar the only 6 weight world champ shall prevail and not only become the biggest drtaw in boxing but cement his legacy with the, robinson's, ali's and pep's of this world. floyd fell into the roy jones comfort zone a few years ago.
