J.C. Chavez Jr. is a punk

I just finished watching the JCC.Jr fight
The one on the under card of Cotto against Poulie in NYC
And it’s terrible what boxing and the states athletic commissions is allowing these boxers to do.

JCC. Jr.
He had a record of
25-Wns
0 -Ls
1-D
18-KOs

His opponent’s record

11-Wns
0-Ls
0-D
3-KOs

What a disgrace
I thought that the states athletic commission has to approve the fights.

Actually thats not that bad. I have seen way worse.
I dont see anything wrong with that either. Sometimes guys just wanna stay active, and want a respectable challenger. At least the guy was undefeated, even though he wasnt a power puncher.
My point
He is padding his record to look like a super star.
Wile hurting other guy’s couriers. Now this kid has an “L” on his record against a guy he had no business being in the ring with.
All for a little TV time and some small money.
We as fans need to not accept garbage like this. Well at least I will not support this kid until he starts fighting equal level opponents

BTW this the same thing his father did for 75 fights or so
I guess like father like son.

Now that I think about it most your guys “great fighters” AKA “Punks” did the same thing more then once so I guess I am alone on this one.

The part that really bothers me is that in a few years some of you will defend him and talk about what a great fighter and a great record he has forgetting about all the padding being done now.

I dont think to highly of him, I have seen him in very close fights against some no name boxers. He probably should have another draw or 2 maybe even a L on his record.
Dave-
Eventually though,it all comes to a head and he can either fight or he can't fight. I never get too worried when I see a guy like Chavez,Jr. piling up a ton of wins because eventually he'll have to put up or shut up against someone decent,he gets to 50-0 or something and is still beating guys like he's been fighting and even his fans will turn on him for not facing anyone. We went through this with Camacho Jr. and when he got in a real fight against Leija,he pussied out and we've hardly seen him since. I'm not overly impressed with little Chavez, and I think he'll have a similar fate.
thats not a bad matchup. both undefeated? whats the problem
He has 7 more KO’s then the other guy has W’ns

Over time records = greatness
Chavez Sr
Joe
PBF
B-hop
Hatton
Lacy
R. Marciano
And the list goes on
The next generations like some of you + me
Will look at the records and say “wow 25-0-1-18 KOs that guy was great with that record”

give us a little more credit ,I know this chump is being pampered, but this will only hurt him in the long run ,when they make a mistake and match him with some real deal.

Absolutely, and that's why I just don't get too worked up about it. He can beat all the nobodies they want to feed him,I don't think there's anything even wrong with that to be honest, but to be taken serious then you have to beat a serious fighter somewhere along the line. Whether a guy is 15-0 or 115-0 when it finally happens, ends up making little difference really. I'm with you in that I think they do him more harm than good going this road.
How many times do we say look! He has a great record so he was great.
Or he must be the best guy ever because of his record.
And the one guy that jumps out at me is JCC Sr.
My kids will look at his record and argue with the world on how great he must have been great just because of his record
totally agree kind of reminds me of Hector Camocho jr. , he will only be able to ride on Daddy's coat tails for so long....
