Peter defeats Toney again!

Heavyweight Samuel Peter (28-1, 22 KOs) proved his previous win over James Toney (69-6-3, 43 KOs) last September wasn't a fluke as he won a wide unanimous decision over Toney on Saturday night at the Seminole Hard Rock LIVE Arena in Hollywood, FL. Peter staggered Toney in round one and floored him with a jab in round two. Toney connected with some flush right hands in the third. Good two-way action at the end of round four. Peter landed the most meaninful punches in the fifth as Toney's left eye began to close. Peter continued to punish Toney as the bout progressed, but the tough Toney continued to battle to the end. Peter ultimately prevailed by scores of 119-108, 118-110, 118-110. With the win, Peter earned a shot at WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev.

i didn't get to see this one but after watching there first bout it was plain to see who the beter man was, now we should see maskaev stand and be counted and fight this guy who i think has just become his mando. the scores look impressive is sam peter becoming a beter boxer ? at only 26 he looks to be the one who could dominate for the next 10 years.

He did look improved.

I really doubt he will get Maskaev next.

There are alot of rumors Peter is actually over 30:dunno:

Hes a big strong kid, but he cant beat Klitschko, so I dont think he'll be running anything anytime soon. His hand speed is not that great, but he can certainly punch hard. Only problem, is that he doesnt use the straight enough. I think with a little more trainng and experience though, he could be pretty good.

SAMUEL PETER RULES... he can beat anyone... those 2 Ukranian Giants... and that Big Russian Guy!!! C'MON!!! YEAH!!! The only thing I am annoyed with is the fact that he didn't knock out that blown-up Super-Middleweight James Toney... why not Samuel Peter???
