Same here. After he was handed those two wins he turned into a little bitch IMO. Cory Spinks? Come on. I do give him credit for fighting Hopkins twice and then Winky. I think he lost all three but oh well. I am kind of biased towards winky though. He's in my top 5 favorites as of right now.

He needs to move UP! The guy is a lot bigger than he is fighting. I want him to fight Calzaghe. I think Jermain Taylor is an awesome boxer but I hate guys who are handed W's over guys like BERNARD HOPKINS and WINKY WRIGHT.

Actually Winky and Bhop will be a very defensive fight. Defense is why Winky only got the draw against Taylor. JT's punches were landing on Winky's gloves the whole fight and Winky was winning but just stopped throwing punches leading to a draw. Winky is no punk bro. BHOP truly, I emphasize truly, beat JT the first time and was close the second.

Hey if Winky wasnt such a punk he would have taken the rematch
JT offered him. The money was there, but the ability wasn't so
he is gonna fight BHOP instead. That should be an action packed fight!
why the hell would winky take a rematch and risk being robbed again, that was 3 fights in a row taylor was given gifts. any fighter would be nuts to fight him imo with some untoward BS going on with di bella and judges in JT's fights.

The first JT-BHOP fight was close. The second one Hopkins didn't do nearly enough to even think about getting a decision. I thought Winky-Taylor was extremely close. But if
Wright doesnt wanna do anything about it, dont gripe about it.He had an opportunity

winky with 99% of the public knew he won that fight so there was nothing to prove in a rematch. he's fighting a better man next anyway who was robbed against JT too.

all you haters

well i came on this thread to present the news that edison miranda will face kelly pavlik on the undercard along with andre berto vs tba. But i read all these bad comments about taylor. The guy fought 2 top 5 p4p in 3 straight fights and now has fought 2 jr middleweight champs in a row. Who cares.... Calzage and kessler is nearly done. You cant hate on a jr middleweight wanting a chance at the middleweight title. I mean dang, jones jr would of never got a title shot if ruiz fans said **** like, why you want to fight a little guy. If anything Taylor and his group is risking major embarrassment against spinks ever though i think it will easy for taylor. But who else would he fight right now? i mean we will all get our dream match up after the pavlik/miranda fight, the winner will face taylor. You have to stay active and he is still fighting the best. taylor is still young, yet already has 3 living legends under his belt. Give him time. He wont disappoint.

just to stir up things even though this is my honest opinion

I thought taylor beat hopkins and winky 8 rounds to 4. in all three fights, that is how i scored all of them. Bring it on winky lovers a bhop lovers, but i score offense, not defense and semi active offense.

Jermaine only fights the fights, and if HBO is willing to pay him top dollar to face Jr. Middles then we should be holding the network accountable and not Lou DiBella and ESPECIALLY not Taylor. I think there's a fundamental problem with HBO right now in that they want a stable of "house" fighters and "the best available name opposition"they can get and still insure a win. The matchmaking at Showtime is better, they're less committed to "building stars" and more interested in putting on competitive fights.

Its not that Jermain is seeking out the jr middleweights, but
when other avenues dont work out you get the best fight that
you can make happen. Cory Spinks wasnt JT's first choice.
Everyone else balked. Spinks then accepted the deal within 24
hours.
