I wonder this shitt sometimes: Why does ESPN back the WNBA, and the AFL, NHL, and tennis (showing highlights on sportcenter from regular season games, consistently having them on the ticker, commercials) with little to no support from fans? Boxing has more fans and support than these sports and only get on the ticker if a heavyweight title or a popular lower weight champ has changed hands.
Floyd was the fourth highest grossing athlete in the US in 2007, only passed by 2 golfers and I think racing, and still little coverage. Most of these sports couldnt get 2.4 million people to watch their game 7 or biggest event, let alone have them pay $60+ to see it. They are trying to stuff these sports down are throat, when its a crappy product, and not even close to boxing popularity, even with its death being whispered by the casual fan. I smell conspiracy. Oh yea and **** ESPN, the major networks, and all those sports they are trying to stuff down peoples throats
