Calzaghe is much too good of a boxer, puncher to get caught by Manfrado. Calzaghe should knock him out within eight rounds.

agreed.

in my book calzaghe is a shoe in HOF'er and on his day is arguably the best fighter in the world.
I would like to see Calzaghe and Kessler fight in the near future. Kessler looked super againt Andrade, but Calzaghe is not Andrade and will present a lot more problems than just being able to take a beating like Andrade did.
ive seen a lot of kessler fight and joe is quite simply on another level from him, if joe cant get taylor, hop or winky and it doesn't look like he will then kessler should be the fight he makes.
Calzaghe would kill Kessler.
Calzaghe vs Manfredo Jr

Hi all just been reading all your posts thats why i love boxing so much its full of opinon’s i give full respect to joe for what he has done for the sport .
But its boxing and anything can happen and i really think this will be a big fight for him as manfredo has a big heart and a big punch and if he gets it right he can take his crown come april 7th look at tyson v douglas lennox v rackman audley v sprott tonight lol it only takes one punch and its all over
just my opinion. But all the above were never given a chance of winning those fights .

Thanks jez u.k.

I said in another thread that he has a chance however slim it may be. He would have to get very lucky though. Calzaghe is smart and makes few mistakes and is a phenominal boxer.

Manfredo was on the Contender that's all I have to say. That show sucks so much. Ooooh lets shoot another slow-mo shot and show the wives and children in the crowd with worried looks on their faces.

I can't wait for this fight because I havent' seen Joe fight in a while!
What a terrible fight. He should be fighting in Vegas so that dumbass stuff like that stoppage wont happen.
If Joe wants worldwide recognition, he needs to start fighting outside of his back yard.
Shouldnt have been stopped so early.. but then again wouldnt of lasted much longer:p Calzaghe would beat Hopkins, Kessler and Taylor i think.. He is the best boxer of this generation... and has only got 2-3 years left so make the most of it:p
I still think Hopkins would beat him. But that's it.
I think Hopkins is possibly the only with a chance really. But at Hopkins age i dont see him stepping down to 168 to fight Calzaghe, and Joe would be pretty stupid to move upto LHW.

175 would be great for joe, he'd be so much stronger at the weight. he's basicly killing himself to make 168, plus hop aint been at the weight to long.

I can't believe you guys are saying Hopkins could beat him but not Kessler! Kessler is young, stronger and faster than any super middle in the world and has the style to outclass and outslug the WBO pretender, you guys need a taste of reality but it won't happen until they actually fight.
I dont know what all you are smoking but on ANY given day HOPKINS, TAYLOR, sh*t even ROY JONES Jr with the glass jaw would kill that b*tch A** Calzaghe. The man has NO POWER (LOL). He slaps. If any of you actually watched the fight and heard what Manfredo said about his punches. He said they were "AMATURE PIDDLE pats". He even said once he got hit by them he waved for more. Calzaghe has nothing. Yes he beat the OVER HYPED over rated JEFF LACY booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Not impressed people. So the man had ONE good fight in his carrer, yeaa for him.... if Kessler and him fight I bet Kessler would knock his b*tch a$$ out. I actually wish Hopkins would fight his A$$ here in Vegas away from his little back yard in wales. Beat the hell out of him with a real REF calling it, and let the world really see what a slap boxer he is. He is a man that talks as if he is the best P4P fighter in the world. GET THE HELL outta here, He has nothing to back that up. I bet little man Mayweather would beat his a$$. He hits harder... haha.... Cazaghe sucks and im tired of hearing him talk and run his mouth.

Wes Bring's up some valid point's. I must tell ya...after watching Calzaghe against Manfredo, I had to laugh....I was very unimpressed. There is ZERO chance that Calzaghe would beat B-Hop, even if Hop comes back down in weight. If Calzaghe goes up to LH, it's a wrap....he gets blown out. Frankly, I don't think he could beat Winky either.
There is a reason why he hasn't come over here to fight yet, and he remains in that "FORGED HAVEN" known as the Super Middleweight division. You really think the money is over there? No, it's here in the US, against the BEST opposition, which he continues to duck. I see it like this: **** or get off the pot!

true that....
thats BS.

hop wouldn't have beat joe primed he wont beat him at his holyfield stage.

calzaghes the best fighter in the world above middleweight, he'd take out taylor to if taylor ever wants to man-up and fight.
kesslers a joke, he beat a past his prime beyer who was only germanys 3 guy behind ottke and veit. his second biggest win was against bumdine, what a joke bumdine is getting ko'd from ottke and that massive ko punch of his.

if george foreman was a mummy then kessler is a robot.
