Chavez was one of the absolute ATGs. Right up there in any top 20 list I can imagine. Many seem to think of him only as a come forward aggressor who would take 3 to land 1 but he was far better than that analysis. He was surprisingly quick, had very good power and an undying heart.
Floyd on the other hand is by far the better pure boxer but he may lack the experience to deal with such a great opponent. How would he do when none of his pot shots from range hurt Chavez and the Mexican kept coming forward, eventually landing a few of those power shots. Could Floyd's chin take it? I think just about. Floyd squeaks through with a very very tight decision.

weather floyd pot shotting hurts chavez is irrelevant the point is he would be landing them and scoring points and winning rounds.
I think Floyds better defence and better accuracy see him win a UD by about 2-3 points clear over Chavez but it would by no means be an easy night.
