no doubt Chavez

both guys in their prime? no doubt Chavez he had better chin more boxing skill more power etc. his destruction of Medrick Taylor proves that. few guys would endure what he did for 12 rounds of being outboxed and still coming with conviction

well tyson you have me between a rock and a hard place here. . hatton is my favourite fighter today and chavez is on my top 10 p4p list. ;) , good thread but id slightly favour cavez who done it all in his carrer and was 84-0 at one point i think where hatton still has big fights to win. . chavez wins close 12 round ud.

tommy gun. Ricky is my favourite fighter today and i personaly think he is to strong for anyone at 140 and 147. If a 140 chavez fought hatton i think hatton would come out on top. It is a hard one to deside on. Chavez is the legend though hmmmm??? Maybe Chavez. hehe

id say it would have been close, some might say that kostya beat chavez and hatton beat kostya although chavez had been past his prime, but ricky still has 4 or 5 massive fights ahead where chavez done it all. a close one though. hey not bad for a guy who's supposedly bias to british fighters.

yh mate. But its true. British boxing is great at the moment. i would like to see anyone at either 140 or 147 beat our own ricky hatton or anyone beat joe calzaghe.

Hey tommy im not biased though because atm PBF is the best P4P fighter. but after hoya it should change.

nope. its no miss match mate. Hatton stands a good chance. i beileve hatton would be too strong and his body punches would drop chavez. Im not saying it would end in a KO but its a possibility

the only reason im saying chavez is because he's done it all, hatton still has his big fights to come. ask me in 12 months time and there could be a very diffrent outcome. its early doors just now but there's already talk of the winner of cotto v margarito fighting the winner of hatton and castillo at 147.

Are you serious. Its a clear mis-match. Do you all understand the quality of fighters that Chavez has fought? Put it like this. If Collazo gave Hatton that much trouble think about what Chavez would do. And to say that Hatton could drop Chavez is just plain crazy. Taylor was a faster stronger and better boxer than Hatton. And he hit Chavez with everything he had. And can anybody tell me what happened in the last round?????? And who actually looked like they was in a war. Chavez didnt. He was losing the fight but Taylor looked beat up. So like I said Hatton vs Chavez is a mis-match.

OMG styles make fights mate. Hatton is ferosious and hits very hard to the body. Most fighter would go down from a hard blow to the ribs. Chavez wasnt the terminator. He was beatable. Just most of his first 60 odd fights were against very ordinary oposition.

so the fight with Hatton would had been at 135 and Chaves would have won. And Tyson you said that Chaves was beatable. Well everyone is beatable but how long did it take and how many great fighters did he fight until he was beaten?

alot of chavezs oponents were bery ordinary. OK yes he also fought some great fighters but like i said styles make fights and hattons body shots are enough to stop any fighter.

Th fight would have been at hattons fabourite 140 weight limit.
