This guy looks like he's going to do very well in MMA. His striking is good enough to dominate grapplers on the feet, and he showed great TD defense and ground defense against Diaz. If this guy keeps progressing, maybe we can see him in the UFC soon. I think fighters like him (great striking with really good defesive grappling) are becoming more and more powerful. Please don't turn this in to Boxing vs MMA, but what do you think?

I don't think there is any point in him going to the UFC when he just got the belt. Either way he says he will never sign with UFC anyway and if I were a fighter I wouldn't either.

Why? It's the only organization that guarantees job security. Trust me, in a few years, ElireXC will go down just like Pride.
eliteXC is there to stay they just bought KOTC organisation who was there forr many years and icon sport one of the biggest in hawaï. They won't compete with the ufc but they'll stay

If you won a world title would you vacate it to go the the UFC where you woul;d barely be known and then have to work your way back up and risk getting cut down in the process? **** No!

UFC also shafts fighters hence why Randy Couture just vacated his title and left the UFC,

Now don't even go mentioning Pride. Pride was a spectacular organizationa and personally, IMO, was better than the UFC. However it was heavily corrupted by the Yakuza.

Therefore they went bankrupt and they had no choice but to sell the company to Zuffa whom then instead of keeping it around decided to completely tear it down (for fear of competition) and jam pack every fighter from pride they could onto the UFC roster.

Now EliteXC is a growing company and they just bought KOTC and Icon Sport so it's obvious they are not in danger of going bankrupt and they will never go away.
I think EliteXC will go down right before the UFC :D nah kidding i just watched the fight and im really impressed by Noons very good td defense.
