K2 Promotions took advantage of the assembled media in Las Vegas for Mayweather-De La Hoya to hold a press conference for the much anticipated rematch between IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir "Steelhammer" Klitschko (48-3, 43 KOs) and Lamon Brewster (33-3, 29 KOs) at Smith & Wollensky's restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip. The bout will take place on July 7, 2007 in Cologne, Germany and televised live on HBO at 5PM ET/2PM PT with a delayed broadcast at 10:30PM ET/PT. Klitschko, who is eager to avenge the defeat he suffered against Brewster in April 2004, predicted his fight with Brewster will end in a knockout. Brewster's last bout was a twelve round decision loss to Sergei Liakhovich, a bout which he suffered a detached retina in his left eye. According to Brewster, the injury occurred in the first round but he kept fighting saying, "I believe in death before dishonor."

Ive got Klitschko winning this fight as well. KO-8 sounds like a good bet. Could be a bit earlier though. Vladimir is the more skilled fighter, and had Brewster in trouble in the first fight. Klitschko's chin has always been a point of concern but at this point i think he outclasses LB.

im not sure what happened to wlad in the first fight but he gassed big time. i see him handling brewster with relitive ease this time and he may get the stoppage. id bet on the UD though.

Klitscko does get gassed at times i agree. I just think Vlad is the more polished fighter of the two. Hey but when two big guys slug it out you never know. If i was betting i would put money on VK.
