Leon Spinks in Cory's corner

Having his father, former heavyweight champion Leon Spinks in his corner will "is a blessing," says Cory Spinks, who is challenging WBC/WBO middleweight champion Jermain Taylor on Saturday in Memphis. Cory feels the reason that the time is right for Leon to join his corner was that this is his biggest fight. "It's just an extra boost. It's more problems for Jermain. Having that guy in my corner is a blessing. I'm looking forward to him being in the corner. Its the first time and I can't wait. Everything is so right. Its so set up for me. So, its my time to shine," stated Spinks.

They gonna need a translater in that corner so we can know what Leon is saying.

lol thats funny i hope taylor beats spinks just because taylor's one of my favorites
i dont think you should worry at all LL, taylro will most likely knock cory out, either that or leon will try to stop it himself form the corner but no one will know what he is saying lol.
Since hes from STL like myself will actualy be rooting for Cory.
wanna bet all of your points that he losses?
Nobody will bet on lil spinks. Taylor looks jacked.
what you mean jacked shane?
I fail to care... Hes gonna lose anyway

By he i suppose you are talking about Spinks. Taylor has a more serious outlook coming into this fight. I look for him to use his jab the way he used to early in his career. Manny Steward thinks this is the way Jermain looked when he thought JT was one of the best up and coming fighters.
ill tell you one thing, when i was watchign taylor back when he was an early prospect, he had one of the most devasstating jabs i had ever seen. Its a really stiff, quick jab. he actually knocked a guy down before with it.

HUGE. He is much bigger than he was against Ouma
This is one fight I'm not interested in seeing and don't really care who wins. Spinks has no chance. And Taylor needs to pick up his level of competition. Ouma, Was gonna be Mora, LOL and now Spinks? BRING ON HATTON VS CASTILLO
Dont think he is going to win, just rooting for the hometown guy

I used to feel the exact same way. I do think the fight will be boring for the most part. I just have a feeling that Spinks is going to try to get Taylor frustrated early, and maybe give him hell. It is just a feeling, and I am most likely wrong.

I really would like to see Taylor end the fight by knockout because a decision will be far from immpressive unless spinks gets brutalized.

I'm all about the Berto highlights!!!
I would have maybe thought this fight would have been boring until the last couple of days. Miranda got Taylor worked up at the press conference, and now i look to see not only a focused JT, but also one thats a bit upset and Spinks just happens to be the one in the way.
yeah, i sure wouldnt want to be spinks that night.
I wouldn't want to be Miranda the day he meets up with Jermain.
I like this taylor becoming that badass i think he really is, he's all nice and calm on the outside and is a fresh looking face in boxing, but that mans got that killer instinct. I like it. The man will eventually fight alot of huge names and i think he could go out with a very big resume and legacy. I actually see him challenging all the way to heavyweight. I have no doubt he will someday be a lightheavyweight.
No doubt at all. Within 2 years he will be #1 P4P. He finally feels comfortable enough on the "big stage" to be himself a little more. I think he just needed a little time to pass to let the controversial decisions settle more before coming out, so to say.
Yeah, Taylor will probably win but I would still like to see Cory win.
