Pacquiao defeats Barrera!

Super featherweight superstar Manny Pacquiao (45-3-2, 35 KOs) took a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision over Marco Antonio Barrera (63-6, 42 KOs) on Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Pacquiao, who previously stopped Barrera four years ago, was again the aggressor and outworked Barrera, who tried to keep the fight tactical. Barrera chose to trade in the fifth, his best round, however, for the most part "Pacman" outgunned the tentative "Baby-faced Assassin." Barrera was deducted a point for hitting after the break in round eleven, a round where Barrera also sustained a nasty cut under his right eye. Scores were 118-109, 118-109, 115-112.

I predict this fight will go the same way as the first one because i honestly didnt think barrera did half bad against pac. Pac brutally beats him this time around.

Barrera is intelligent enough to make some adaptations and make this fight more competitive.. but i dont know if MAB has the tools to stop Pacman anymore.

5 years ago, i might of said barrera in an upset, but now at 33. this is goign to be more lopsided than mayweather/delahoya.

hamed lost because he was confused on what to do. He would of beat barrera or possibly knocked him out if he used his style of old but he wanted to box barrera and what a worse time to try to outbox barrera, especially when prince wasnt a boxer. He had a style of his own. much like pacquiao. barrera beats pacquiao 1/3 of the time. Kind of like morales. But thats prime barrerea, hes not primed anymore.

i think prime barrera vs prime pacquiao would be an amazing toe to toe battle. there was a time where barrera looked unbeatable, then he got beat, then after that he looked unbeatable again. then he got beat. Im sure prime vs prime pacquaio would of still beat him 2 out of 3 times.

I would argue Juan Manuel Marquez, because I think by the end of their Draw that he'd pretty much figured Pacman out. As for Barerra,I'm not really interested in seeing this one repeated. I know MAB has a history of doing better in rematches, but I think if he and Pac fought ten times then we'd see the same thing each time. Hard to see Barerra turning the tables, what can he possibly do different?

i agree that marquaz has done the best against pacman out of everyone so far. But the fight was far from a draw and i had pacman winning 9 rounds to 3. The fight wasnt all that close on the points even though it was an awesome fight. i dont htink marquez figured pac out. You cant figure that guy out because he does so many different things in the ring. I think he handles pac's power better than barrera or morales did.

dave.

im done righting off marco....lol

ive done it down the years to many times to back against him now (naz,morales.1 and juarez.2)

IMHO, i think obviously pac would start fav but if marco fights (boxes) at the top of his game he can take a good win here, i thought marco won against marquez by 3-4 rounds and i had marquez and pac even in there fight.

i know thats nothing much to judge a fight on and i really should be focusing more on what they done in there first bout but IMO marco can counter just as good as JMM can (i know some will not agree) i also feel marcos faster than JMM to.

im just glad were really getting to see this fight when IMO marco still has at least one great fight left in him, some will say he's well and trully in geezerville and i know ive even tipped pac to win but the more thought i put in to this the more i feel marco could win. :)

great rematch fighter as you say dave, unless JJ is involved.

if marco was superman JJ would be cryptonite. LOL

i agree tommy, but........this isnt the same marco. whether he boxes or not. he could box like floyd mayweather and pac would find away to win. the same way he always does.

Barrera will put up a very good fight for the first half of the fight, but then will lose it in the second half and lose by KO in the 10th-ish.

yea pac is crazy in the ring.. and now he can use both hands.. gonna be a great fight.. but i see pacman winning.. as much as Barrera tries to out box Pac I think Pac is gonna find a way though him.. Plus hes got Freddie Roach on his side.. but yea i see Pac winning by KO or TKO just wondering if its gonna be just as fast as Morales vs Pac 3:dunno:
