it would be ppv and a waste of money, oscar would win. Margarito isnt close to being skilled enough to beat oscar. Everyoen says how hard margarito hits, bs, i havent ever seen power in his hands. Oscar by embarrassing UD.

Most ducked is the opinion of many. I'm sorry but I don't believe he could beat any of those guys listed and he is number 2 in my book as most overrated.
zab and floyd were scared ****less, have you seen the interview floyd was doing at the oscar v mayorga presser when margie bust in and asked why he was ducking him. lolPrettyBoyFloyd said:

And then he beat Oscar. Could Margarito beat Oscar? No. He would be owned. We could have this argument for months and would never agree Tommy. Nobody knows who Margarito is and nobody who does, other than you and maybe 2 other people care about him.

It does when it is Antonio "The Statue" Margarito. I don't have anything at all against the guy I just think that he is predictable to the point that any A level opponent including Zab would handle him.

yeah, i think zab's quickness would be enough to beat margie as well. I think clottey would possibly knock him out in a rematch as well. Especially when clottey can gain 25 pounds over night. Thats gatti numbers right there.
Margarito is good but not De La Hoya good. I mean could Margarito stand in the ring with Vargas, Trinidad, PBF, B-HOP and win or just simply dominate the fight. Well besides B-Hop and Mayweather, which was yes we all know controversial, but let’s not get into that. The question is, Could Margarito take De La Hoya? I say no. just because everyone says he hits hard. Well B-Hop hits hard and yes he did go down but that’s because it’s B-HOP, the man has a punch. De La Hoya also took PBF’s punches along with a lot of other TOP P4P fighters and has ONLY been knocked out once. His losses are ALL controversial besides B-HOPS. I could be wrong on that statement. But hey that’s just me.
So to answer the question I say De La Hoya wins by UD if not by KO in the later rounds. That is If DLH comes out TOP shape like he did for PBF. It be would DLH all day, and I’m not just saying that because I am a De La Hoya fan. I really think De La Hoya could/would win. But I’m more interested in a PBF VS DLH rematch… just to clear up and make up for the first fight. Or even make it like a trilogy if it went that far.

well your definition of ducking is different than mine. Because if you think floyd and everyone else in the business is ducking margarito you are wrong. Mayweather fights for belts and money and legacy. What the hell is a wbo belt, little money and a name like margarito going to do to help his legacy? nothing, because 20 years from now, no one will ever even mention the name antonio margarito and that is something i can guarentee. Mayweather, Delahoya, Vargas, Hopkins, Trinidad, they will all be mentioned.

And that is just the truth. IM not hatting on you if you like this margarito dude, im just stating the truth. I believe floyd would dominate that fight, im sure you dont, but win or lose, it wouldnt even budge floyds legacy up or down.

Good post Lance. I agree totally. The thing you missed is that after anyone decent, mainly Floyd, were to beat Margarito everyone would turn to saying that he was overrated.tysonjones said:

yep, and it will hurt some people. But it feels great to know someone else things margy isnt all that. Its a shame that boxing is in such of a lull that someone has to be created as the man that everyone ducks because he is sooooooo dangerous.

Or soooooo boring/predictable. Antonio "The Statue" Margarito will lose to any A level boxer. He is a B level guy at best IMO.
