Definitely, I couldn't agree more. He could fight harder and slug it out like some do, but he is smart enough about things that he doesn't have to. There are some boxers that just know how to fight, and there are the few like De La Hoya that can manage every aspect. Because of him picking and choosing his battles wisely, a lot of people I know don't care for him at all. I can see now, that he knows how to step if up if he has to. That is something I didn't really learn until the Mayorga fight. With most of his fights, he is not so aggressive. I was glad to see him step it up, especially at the end of his career. At least he is smart enough to know when to get out. A lot of boxers don't, they have to wait for the fans to tell them.
