After Mikkel Kessler suddenly pulled out of the highly anticipated May 24th fight with Edison Pantera Miranda, it left Miranda wondering who would be his next opponent. Miranda has made it very clear that he will fight anyone, anywhere as long as the offer is somewhat reasonable, and he has backed this up. However, as of now, no one has stepped up to bat. So, Pantera is calling out Lucian Bute to step up and take the challenge. "I find it frustrating that I’m simply trying to fight the best in the world and no one will offer me a shot. I know many writers and fans think I talk a lot of trash, but at the end of the day I bring excitement into the ring. I am willing to fight the best out there and Bute is the champion of the world so I am asking him to be a man and fight me." Bute reportedly does not have a fight scheduled and is also looking for a voluntary defense of his title sometime near May. Miranda stated, "I am willing to go into his backyard and fight him. If he does not take this fight, than he is a coward just like Mikkel Kessler."

He really needs to fight someone ranked before he waltzes into shots against the big guys. Hell he's fought two nobodies so far at 168, why not fight someone in the mid-range at 168 like allan green or sakio bika (according to The Ring anyway) to give himself some cache to actually entice big boxers into bouts?

I'm just getting pissed off at him trying to talk himself into a title shot when he hasn't really earned it. Next thing he'll be calling out calzaghe.

Good to see a fighter not just keep shut with his arms crossed, instead he issued some challenges, good for him some one will bite the hook, Maybe Winky Wright might be interested in fighting MIRANDA....that would be a good matchup no?

I'd really hate to see winky's face after that fight. I wouldnt mind seeing miranda vs andrade. Thats an intriguing matchup to me.

Seems like Miranda just wants to make up for the two losses he had with AA and Pavlik. That was his chance and he blew it,and now he just wants to make up for it by calling out names. He needs some wins against solid or maybe B level fighters in the division. Does he bring excitment to the ring, yes ofcoarse. But it doesnt mean he desrves a title shot.

Blew his chance on AA. He freakin got robbed dude. Watch the fight. And he was extremely weight drained for pavlik. YOu tell me how many boxers go over seas to fight for a title. Then tell me how many win? Then tell me how many guys make 160 in one fight and in their next fight they way over 190 pounds in the ring. Miranda has great arguments as to why he failed. Theres video proof of him getting robbed against AA. I have it.

Gotta agree there Lance, Miranda should have won that fight by about 3 rounds on my card, the deductions were utter BS.

AA did have a broken jaw since the 3rd though.

yeah and they gave aa more than 5 minutes to recover and during that time they were working on his cuts and his jaw. Which is illegal and he should of been dq'ed for that. Miranda wasnt the only one fighting dirty either.

I agree with the Abraham situation. But to give Miranda slack on the Pavlik fight is to give Green slack on his fight with Miranda. A fight in which Green was sick.

Oh trust me, green was deathly ill for that fight. I do give green slack. Alot of it. But miranda would of most likely won. Because green isnt proving to much to me as of late.
