how do you think these heavyweights would hold up against Ali? in a 15 rounder.

(i'm talking about the Ali we saw against George Foreman)

when i think he was at his best.

Rocy Marcianno
Joe Louis
Jack Dempsey
Mike Tyson
Lennox Lewis
Riddick Bowe
Evander Holyfield
Jack Johnson

Rocy Marcianno - Ali Tko 13
Joe Louis - I'd would probably favour Joe Louis UD
Jack Dempsey - Ali UD
Mike Tyson - Ali TKO 12
Lennox Lewis - Would be a great match-up but Ali would edge it TKO 14
Riddick Bowe - Ali KO 5
Evander Holyfield - Ali KO8
Jack Johnson - Ali UD

Marciano....... Ali TKO 9 Cuts cause referee to stop contest
Joe Louis...... Ali UD Ali dances Joe plods
Jack Dempsey... Ali UD
Mike Tyson..... Ali DQ 9 Ali torments Tyson till he loses his cool
Riddick Bowe... Ali UD Easy for Ali, thats if Bowe shows up
EvanderHolyfield.. Ali UD Ali beats up on Evander
Jack Johnson... Ali UD Best fight of all a boxers dream fight

For me when in his prime he was unbeatable. I often think just what would he have achieved had he not had that unfair 3 1/2 yr enforced layoff
yeah, if he hadn't had that enforced layoff, he would have achieved a hell of alot more, but then there may not have been such fight as Ali vs. Foreman or the three Frazier fights.

i agree with your post but i don't think Ali beats Joe Louis, i think louis in his prime was outstanding and would've given Ali alot of trouble, but we will never know.

thanks for the response,
i don't consider the ali that fought foreman the best, but a prime ali beats them all. i think fighters like a prime tyson and holyfield have the best shot at beating him imo.

Ali beat Foreman psychologically as much as in physically.

Couldn't agree more.
what would you consider Ali in his prime then?

i'd say that proved just how great he really was, he came back from 3 1/2 years off and was still able to beat the best at the time, foreman was young, strong probably one of the hardest hitters ever and Ali beat him in a way no other could.

the Ali against Sonny Liston, was early in his career it was a great performance but foreman beats sonny liston all day in my opinion.

i'd say Joe Louis had the best chance of beating Ali, and Joe Louis would have Ko'd both T6yson and Holyfield.

I think this is a pretty good analysis of what may be the outcomes in many of these matches. Like yourself, I don't see Muhammad stopping or KO'ng most of these fighters, but he would certainly have my vote to beat any or all of them on points.
ali was at his best against cleveland williams. Very few heavies could of beat that version. Highly recommended fight.

And where would one get this fine fight on DVD TJ? :dunno: ;)
I thought Ali was at his best before he got exiled. When he came back i think he had lost some speed that he never regained. I will agree with CJ here (doesn't happen often;)), i think his picks are spot on:thumbsup:
