New Zealand matchmaker John Glozier confirmed the news. "This is the biggest thing to happen to New Zealand boxing."This is the first time a legitimate, recognized world title of any repute has been held in New Zealand. It will be amazing for Kiwi boxing and its profile." Mundine recently won the WBA super middleweight belt in Sydney against fellow Australian Sam Soliman.
Who is Monty Betham?
Monty Betham was a rugby league player for the new zealand warriors and he left while still in top shape, i think it was his first fight or second last week and he looked really good, even though he was fighting a chump there is serious potential there.
Also his father was a world class boxer and fought against Tony Mundine years ago.
Who is Mundine gonna be defending it against, i look forward to that, am hoping it's calzaghe or kessler.
