I haven't sold it yet. I am going to take Bill's suggestion. As soon as I have a chance I'll have the reel authenticated and priced. I love to get an idea how much it would go for. Any guesses?![]()
Excellent Idea. A professional appraiser would also be able to give you a good idea as to the fair market value of this reel. Certainly a little more popular now after the release of the Cinderella Man movie, so if your interested in selling it, do it while the market is hot for it.Patch37 said:Thank guys, for all your advices, however, I'm a female. :cheeky4:

Yes, New York City, why? Can you suggest a place for me to go to?ERIK said:Where are you at? In the NY area?
Sorry, for sounding like an idiot about this stuff but I've tried researching places to go to but I haven't found any places to go to. Truthfully, I have no idea where to start. They do appraisals for other things like vases, coins, furniture, paintings, but I haven't found anything for vintage reels.Captainobvious99 said:Excellent Idea. ERIK said:Well every June the boxing hall of fame there has induction week. One day each year the have an all boxing memorabilia show there. People sell old cards, autographs & all kinds of classic boxing stuff.
You could either rent a table & try & sell it. Or maybe just go & start talkin to people. There is so many tables/collectors. I went last year & it was great.
