#1 IBF mandatory ready to fight champ Juan Diaz!
After reviewing all available evidence, the Hillsborough County State Attorney's office has declined to pursue charges against boxer Nate Campbell relating to his September 27 arrest following a domestic disturbance. Campbell had been arrested on felony charges of armed burglary of a dwelling with assault, false imprisonment and tampering with a witness plus a misdemeanor charge of battery. Campbell was arrested by Hillsborough County Sheriff officers allegedly after an altercation with his girlfriend. Campbell was later released on his own recognition.
Campbell, the IBF #1 mandatory challenger to unified Champion Juan Diaz, was understandably relieved when advised of the November 20th decision filed by the State Attorney's office. "I've said from the beginning that there are two sides to every story, and I'm just glad to have this officially behind me, and can now focus all my energy on winning the world title" said Campbell. "I also want to thank my family, friends, and fans who stood by me while this process ran its course, and didn't just blindly believe what they may have read somewhere."

While were on the topic of Nate Campbell, here's his views on the rest of the Lightweight Division..

Juan Diaz: I have nothing but respect for Mr. Savannah, and Mr. Savannah is no fool. He don't even want Juan in the same area code as me. I know how to beat this kid, and beat him bad. I doubt though that HBO wants to get another one of their "stars" knocked off.

Michael Katsidis: Why is everyone so high on this kid? Because he bleeds? Because he eats every punch you throw at him? Who has he fought? He just went life-and-death with the Philipino kid in what was supposed to be a tune-up, and got his face tore off. Give me a break. A glorified Kid Diamond. And if I fought him, he wouldn't see 12.

Joel Casamayor: The Ring Champ? The ring chump is more like it. I beat him like 5 years ago and they took it from me. He's not even relevant anymore. Besides, who wants to watch him stink up the joint anyways?

David Diaz: Nice guy. I like David. Probably not enough network interest to be able to make a fight with him, but I hope he gets a good payday against Pacquiao or someone else.

Julio Diaz: Who? Who? This clown ducked me for 2 years, pulled out of 2 fights with me, one an IBF eliminator, and now that she got her skirt pulled down on HBO against Juan she wants to call out my name and say she can knock me out? Too bad this bitch didn't have the stones to try it the 2 times she had the chance to.

Kid Diamond: He's #3 in the IBF, so it's possible that I could be fighting him for a vacant title if Juan gets stripped. It was not much more than bag work the last time I fought him, and I wouldn't expect anything to be different this time around. Him fighting me is Trampler's worst nightmare.

Anthony Peterson: Let him fight someone actually in the top 50, or even the top 100 for that matter, and THEN he can run his mouth. Until then, he should just shut the **** up.
