HEY:rolleyes:  I doubt many will go watch Calzaghe to be honest, hes no Hatton when it comes to popularity over here.
its still a big fight if they promote it right. i dont think it'll sell out or come anywhere close, im just glad its being made.

I agree, an old man against someone nobody knows. Hopefully this is the fight that convinces Hopkins to get out....In other words, he gets hurt BAD. Out with the old, in with the new.

Joe isn't getting any younger. They're both veterans. And I have the feeling that fight would be really huge.
Neither one can be labeled as "unkown" at this point.

This could be a terrific fight if Hopkins comes to work. But if he doesnt, it could be a snoozer. Either way, Calzaghe won't be coming anywhere CLOSE to 100 punches a round.
Well like most fights, who knows. I will give Hopkins credit for taking the fight. I think he's crazy at this point.
Another loss on hopkins resume wont make anyone dissmiss him anymore than they already do and it wont make them think anything more of him if he wins. This fight is for calzaghe and the fans. IF calzaghe wins, he'll most likely retire and say he finally got what he wanted. If hopkins wins, he'll most likely retire to on a highnote. It should be high speed chess, much like calzaghe/kessler, just hopkins dont hit like kessler.
What a waste of a training camp and people’s money
B-hop is not going into this to fight or Box he is going to try and hold and head bunt his way into another W.

But lucky for us Joe can get just as Dirty.
Joe Gets the W.

This fight is also for Hopkins. A victory against a fighter like Joe would make him a hall of famer.

Hopkins said that sinse Yankee staduim will be closing in 2008 he wants to fight there because Joe Luis and Ray Robinson fought there and he wants to make that apart of his legacy just like them.

Exactly, Joe is taking this fight just for the legacy. There's no way he should be taking this fight, he'll probably win easily and look terrible doing it. Its all about the $$ though, so this will definetly happen.

Hopkins has been a HOF lock for the past 5 years.
After this he would be recognized by most people as a legend.
