This fight is a done deal. October 6th it is.

Top Rank, Golden Boy will share Pacman

Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank have reached a settlement of the various legal disputes including that pertaining to Manny Pacquiao. Bouts between Manny Pacquiao and marquee fighters under contract to Golden Boy will be co-promoted by Golden Boy and Top Rank. Fights between Manny Pacquiao against fighters other than Golden Boy fighters will be promoted by Top Rank with Golden Boy retaining a promotional interest. The first fight which will be presented under this arrangement will be Manny Pacquiao vs. Marco Antonio Barrera on October 6, 2007 at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy, and Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank, both agreed that the settlement will be great for boxing as Top Rank fighters will be taking on Golden Boy fighters in the months and years ahead. All other details of the settlement are confidential.

OMG! This is the fight i want to see, but i cant help but feel sorry for Soto.. he was just dropped lol this will be one hell of a fight though.

Barrera will adapt and learn from his first fight, i dont think Pacman will dominate this fight. Barrera will be prepared and ready for anything Pac throws at him, i will probably put big points on MAB come fight night!

I am all about Barerra! He is a smart fighter and Manny is a brawler. I still think Barerra beat Marquez but oh well.

Wow, I realy figured you guys would say the opposite. I love Barerra as much as the next guy, but he WILL NOT win against pac-man. I really think his last fight against JMM really showed that he has litle left in the tank. He has had a brilliant career, and he's a sure-fire HOF'er, but he won't be winning this one.
Oh, and yes I'm willing to stake points on that with anyone.

barrera is one of my favorite fighters, i dont miss one of his fights. But pacquiao is probabley my 3rd favorite fighter as of now. He wins this one the same way as the first one. Barrera has just been in to many wars. But i can guarentee you this, this will be a war while it last.

lol man, no way is Pacquiao 2/1 for this fight. The odds for Pacman will probably be crap, the odds for MAB will be awesome though i think.

lol 2 of the guys would just KTFO 1 early then settle it between them i think, but if it was just every man for himself slug fest then man that would be funny. Thats a nice way to get rid of all the alphabet champions, throw them all into the ring and see whos the last man standing:laugh:
