Didnt no weather or not to put this thread in the boxing history section but anyway...

who would you have money on to win this fight lightweight division 12 rounds.

I pick Duran 11tko but pac to be winning on points at time of stoppage because Duran didnt fight southpaws did he fight any in his career?
Pacs speed would get to duran but he wouldnt hold off the hands of stone forever.

Both men were/are beatable so i wouldnt argue against anyone picking pac for the win

Yes I thought he was a switch hitter tho But point taken lol
He's ambidexterous, but he could actually punch harder with his right hand than he could with his left. It's one of the reasons why he was able to catch so many oponents with the right and stop them with it. They were worried about his left when in reality they should've been more worried about his right.

About Pac vs Duran...
I think Duran would stop Pacquiao. Duran proved that he was still a hard puncher at welterweight, and even middleweight against genuine, full sized middleweights. I think Pac would find he was in the ring with someone who punched harder than he did, and a fighter who he would have to rely mainly on his boxing skills and try to outbox Duran using his superior speed, because he would not be able to trade punches with him and get the better of Duran.

I think Pac would start out doing ok, but as the fight progressed Duran would be rocking Pac more and more with hard punches and eventually he'd start to really get to Pac and drop him and either knock him out or stop him in impressive fashion.

I think a prime Pacquiao would actually take a decision against Duran...he's simply too fast and would dart in at quick combos from different angles and back off before Duran could make it a slugfest.

If Duran connected he could KO Pacquiao agreed, but if Pacquiao's movement was the same as against Margarito but reducing the amount of time trading I think he could come to a decision win...Duran never did too well against fast guys with great movement...guys like Benitez and Leonard with the right gameplan could frustrate Duran...Duran likes the Haglers of the world where they will stand and fight...

Benitez and Leonard had much more boxing skills than Pacquiao. Duran was smarter than Pacquiao in the ring which is the reason why I don't see Pacquiao winning. Prime Duran doesn't lose to somebody who's not smarter than him unless he's seriously outsized.

Pac enjoys fighting way too much. When he gets tagged with a good shot he likes to stand and trade, and that would be his downfall against Duran.

Duran had very good timing, and good timing beats good speed. I just don't see Pac getting the better of the exchanges and he wouldn't be able to resist trading punches with Duran, especially if he got hit iwth a good shot and was shaken up.

I completely agree, Pac likes trading. But with the lessons we know...Leonard I vs Leonard II for instance I will go under the assumption that with the right game plan Pacquiao has the tools to do the job because his movement is excellent...if Pacquiao fights his natural fight and trades then I agree, absolutely
