Unlike a large majority of The Australian Boxing Scene in this modern day and age... there is SOME talent! A bit of that belongs to the New Zealand-Born Ex-Kickboxer turned Mob Leg Breaker turned Profesional Boxer known by the names of "The Huricane" and "Firepower"! I am talking of course about Paul Briggs. Fantastic power in his punch and good speed as well... Paul Briggs is best known for his 2 losses to Adamek.. the first was a contender for "FIGHT OF THE YEAR"... the other time... Briggs was injured going into the fight. He is 31... and now a bit of a seasoned veteran... and although most kickboxers turned boxers suck (in my opinion)... BRIGGS IS AWESOME!!! Apparently... Tarver dodged him??? I reckon Briggs could've beaten Adamek... and I'd love to see Briggs get a fight with Tarver and Dawson. My only doubts... he is with Don King!!! CAN BRIGGS TRUST KING? Anyways... talk about Paul Briggs here... his future... what do you think of him... etc!!!

The fight Briggs had with Adamek was exciting,I guess the one before that was the same. They both were majority decisions.Other then his bouts with Adamek has he done much? The only alphabet rating that has him in the top 5 is the wbc.I don't think the ring even has him in the top 10.I need to see more of him before I can make a opinion.

I thoroughly agree. He is an outstanding fighter and one of the few around that is an absolute gentleman out of the ring. I hear on the grape vine that he will be going for Chad Dawson for the WBC world title some time later this year. yes he will be the next Light Heavyweight World Champion

From what I understand Bernard Hopkins is still recognised as a World Light Heavyweight Champion. Maybe he could put them on the line of just give them to Paul Briggs? I'd love to see Briggs take on Hopkins, Dawson, Tarver, and Adamek AGAIN!!!

Guys, you're talking about Cricket!!! Haha, I haven't seen much of the sport but it was on a random channel here once and I quite enjoyed it! I just recently got into watching soccer/futbol after last years Fifa cup. And the movie Green Street Hooligans. Great movie if you like fights.

I watched it too. It was cool but too much drug use. I kinda got turned off. Green Street had a better story IMO and the line by Elijah Wood about the first time you get hit and realizing you're not made out of glass was priceless.

Hello all !
Paul Briggs is a warrior , not just a great boxer but a warrior ! I have been following his career from his Kickboxing days , At 15 years old he was taking on fully grown men 23 -24 years old in the ring and smashing the crap out of them , with not just 2 weapons but 8 , Fists, knees, elbows and shins . That takes rather large balls , I can assure you . Now to his boxing , for those that have never seen him fight , it is time to start , because this is a man that will never take a backward step , has unbelievable power and a chin of concrete , and his speed is good too . Everyone has tried to avoid him , which does make it hard for him to get a fight . The battles he had with Adamek were like a war , after the first one Adamek had to have quite a few hours of surgery to reconstruct most of his broken face ...and he won! You should all do yourself a favor and check out the next Light Heavy weight Champion .
