no doubt. he's bigger, stronger, and just as long. pavlik murders williams.Williams coming in at 165 against Quintana is ridiculous. He needs to move up or be forced to weigh in a few hours before the fight. Pavlik would beat his ass.
Er Pavlik easily. Isn't that quite obvious :dunno:If they both continue on their winning courses I see this match as an inevital one, but I think Pavlick has the edge on power and thecnique and takes Williams in a brutal fight.....
Yeap the weight in a day before the fight while considerdd safe so that a fighter has a day to recuperate at the same time can make or brake a fight, is a no winning situation either way a day before or right before the fight... go figure?Williams coming in at 165 against Quintana is ridiculous. He needs to move up or be forced to weigh in a few hours before the fight. Pavlik would beat his ass.
well put my no dice, your assesment is quite analitical, what's your average at predicting outcomes I'll bet you do quite well..:thumbsup:Despite what Williams did to Quintana, and I still have yet to actually see it, I believe that he is lacking in the power department and moving up in weight what power he does have probably won't carry very well. Maybe I'm wrong about that, but he never seemed to hurt Margarito, he just out hustled him and had a working margin that kept him safe as he faded somewhat down the stretch. He says he just had an off night the night he was beaten up by Quintana, but Quintana claimed to be sick the night he got knocked out in one by Williams. He also claimed he was the victim of a rabbit punch, but like I said, I haven't seen video of the fight yet. I'm definitely curious as to who the real Paul Williams really is. His performance the other night would seem to be enough to put to rest any doubts, but I'll have mine until I see him beat someone of a higher talent level that Quintana. I should add that I really like Williams, I'm just uncertain of how long he can make weight and stay healthy and if he does move up, will he be able to handle the like of Kelly Pavlik. I think that Kelly makes relatively short work of him today. Maybe a year or so from now I'd see it as a more competitive bout. It's a fight I'd love to see, though.
Yeah Williams could make Pavlick work for it a little longer than Lockett, but as things are right now I really don't see any real treat to williams now that Floyd has exited, if there was anybody that could have figued out a way to cut him down in size it was Floyd who else?Pavlik murders him but not in a Lockett type murder. Pretty bad though.Who's to say Williams will even have his name out there in a year. A lot can happen in a couple more fights.
At this point it obviously is ! that's why I said a year from now genious....Er Pavlik easily. Isn't that quite obvious :dunno:
I agree the only guy I see giving Pavlick fits would be WINKY WRIGHT, but he hasn't fought in a year and might get the rust knock out of him:laugh:Pavlik beats Williams all day long. They're both big guys for their weights but it's a no conest.
haha...I think he'd beat Winky too but I'd be a great fight.I agree the only guy I see giving Pavlick fits would be WINKY WRIGHT, but he hasn't fought in a year and might get the rust knock out of him:laugh:
A couple of years ago i would have said if anyone deserved the Oscar payday it was Winky, but now i have to agree with you.Speaking of Winky, even though the premise of a De La Hoya/Wright fight sounds somewhat intriguing, I really don't want Winky to be able to get that huge payday. He doesn't deserve it and I'd be pretty disappointed if he was able to go out on a winning note against The Golden Boy with $10 million to buy donuts.
