Pavlik was very impressive tonight.
His power is absolutely destructive, but I already knew that from previous fights. What I really liked about tonights fight was him displaying his combination punching ability, and also the ability to punch from different angles. After Miranda had eaten enough straight punches, which by the way are Pavliks bread and butter, he started to protect more against the straight right. This is when Pavlik show cased his skills, and through looping rights, uppercuts, and that left uppercut/hook to slip under the jab of Miranda. I was thoroughly impressed with the chin he displayed as well, as I thought that may be one of his weaknesses.
Over all, it was a great action fight, and a Pavlik vs Taylor could be a great matchup. Cant wait...

Well to be honest I never really bought into Miranda being the next big thing. If you check some of my posts about him, you'll see that. I just thought his defense was lacking, and that he threw too many looping punches, and not enough straight punches. I knew against another tough puncher he would be in for a let down, but I just didnt know if it would be Pavlik because of the question mark in Pavliks chin. I guess that was answered tonight though. Pavlik will give Jermaine all he can handle.
Andre Berto on the other hand, is the guy ive been nut-hugging for some time now. I just dont see how this guy doesnt become champ. His future is extremely bright.

Unfortunately not. They only showed a few short clips of the action. Im assuming you didnt get it then either across the pond ?
I agree Brutus I was one of the Pavlik doubters but no longer!! Iam on board the most impressive thing for me was the shear determination and willigness to fight and prove himself. he walked in to more then a few hard shots from Miranda.and kept comming.
And as a side note I don't believe that Miranda is done he is a young guy and just needs to learn from this and move forward there are allot of 90's guys with names that he could still beat and get his shot at Pavlik once he becomes the champ.the winner of Vargas vs Mayorga comes to mind .

You can say what you want about Kelly. He may not be unstoppable, but he is the answer to every muscle bound power puncher (including taylor) For those wo say he cant beat some with a good defense. Well last night wasnt even he most impressive preformace. The thing is kelly doesnt have to hit someone with a big punch to knock someone out. His narrow shoulders, long muscles, and straight punching give him an advantage over the so called (greats) Everyone one of his punches takes a little of off untill the person cant take it anymore. Maybe its becuase he is a skinny white kid be he has gotten no respect until maybe after this fight, but he WILL be the world champion and im looking forward to him defending here in ohio. YTOWN IS MY TOWN!
