I don't rate him #1 but I tend to agree with when Tyson was in his prime, he could give anyone on the ATG list a hell of a close fight, win or lose. I think Tyson was the most physically gifted boxer in history. His combo of speed and power have not been matched in any other fighter that I have ever seen. Most the time you either have power, or you either have speed. Tyson was one of the rare exceptions who had been truly blessed with both. I have always thought if he were 5 inches taller with a little more reach he may have very well ended up the greatest of all time. He is also the most entertaining heavyweight boxer I have ever seen IMO. Because of what his career turned out to be I don't see how anyone could make him #1 though.
Gee...I wonder if your trying to get me annoyed? My dream match and result already happened...a nobody knocking Tyson out and exposing him for the fraud he really is.
That fight was funny. But NOT NEARLY as funny as watching a terrified Holmes run for 3 rounds. then feels satisfied with making it THAT far into the fight, so he decides to try and look impressive laugh: ) by bouncing around the ring looking very intimidating I might add. Boy, you could see the crowd getting really nervous for Mikes safety at that point, LMAO! (seriously, did he even put one bruise on Tyson the entire night?) then everyone got the privledge of watching a truly superior fighter nearly behead Holmes not once, not twice, but three times. oh wait, I forgot, I will agree though that the uppercut Holmes threw that got stuck in the ropes at the end of the fourth, well if that had landed Mike would of surely been pronounced dead on impact!again, LMAO. I think i'll go watch it again. That's right, I forgot, Holmes was old, blah, blah, blah.
One thing I never did understand were the people who said Mike doesn't have a good chin. the fights with Razor Ruddick and Buster Douglas should prove otherwise. I don't care how big of a puncher Buster was supposibly the fact Mike didn't go down in the 9th was crazy. he took bombs every round in that fight and still made it to the tenth. hell he took bombs from Lewis and made it to the eighth. I don't see anyone knocking Mike out under 5 or maybe 6 in Mike's prime, not even Foreman.
