this was a good match and both these guys can be proud of them selfs for fighting a close 12 rounds.

whatever judge it was who scored the fight to toney by that margain should never be allowed near a ring again that was disgusting.

i do think it was close but after tipping toney to win it hurts me to say i thought he lost by 2 rounds.

I scored it 116 -113 for Peter.

Ugly fight. Peter shoulda went to the body early. Thrown combos to the body in the 1st 5 rounds woulda really helped him in the late rounds.

Either guy would beat Maskaev.

James Toney was robbed. Peter wasn't the decisive winner for the majority of those rounds? Toney was cleaner and more effective with his punches and defense. Peter was clumsy and powerful-round 5(?) was the only clear domination Peter had yet he won 116-112 twice? even after 1 point was deducted because he fought dirty?

Both fighters could be Maskeav and probably Valuev but Peter got a gift.

CRAP!!! I was really pulling for Toney then he lost! That really sucks! I bet 800 points he would win. I don't think judges relize that sometimes when he blocks, he blocks sort of with his shoulder.
