Gen. Clark won't back off critique of McCain - Yahoo! News

How come when Republican assholes say some dumb shitt (borderline racist sometimes) about Barack there is little to no repercussion and it's brushed off as "Oh, it's just someone stating there opinon" and when someone makes a statement about McCain they have to apologize or back off from the comment?

Neither side is very appealing. I'm strongly against more government regulation. I don't want to really get into it right now though. I'm in class and could go for days on this issue.

You do know that we cannot vote Bush into term for a third time right?

of course republicans act tough. John McCain wasn't acting, he actually fought. Which is a reason why I am voting for him. Plus you guys make it too easy to make money in America. Indians get money for what Andrew Jackson did. What a load of BS!!! I could be homeless and jobless and still be making a decent living.

One thing that I cant stand about John McCain is that he is against gay marriage. bothers the living crap out of me. I still think that we will benefit more form him than Obama.

You do know it wasn't meant literally, but figuratively. I say it would be a third Bush term because most to all of his the policies he says he will implement are along the lines of what the Bush administration are doing. He's voted the same as Bush 90% of his votes while in the Senate, he wants to keep us occupying Iraq (to date $1 Trillion has been spent), he wants tax breaks for big corporations (a tactic that has been used by Bush and not worked), he wants to follow Bush's economic plan, he was hanging out with Bush while New Orleans was drowning, etc.

Republicans are a bunch of hypocrites, they attack Clinton and Edwards for adultery yet McCain is their nominee (look it up if you don't know). They attack homos, but when a homosexual scandal breaks you can bet it's a Republican (4 in the last 4 years). The list above is an example of their hypocrisy they're so easy (and eager) to go to war because most of them have never actually participated in it.

If you are voting based on some Indian shitt from the past, that is an idiotic reason. If you think we will benefit more from McCain than Obama, I suggest you compare policies and actually give Barack a chance. I hope the majority of voters don't think of excuses not to vote for someone because he is black like you seem to be doing (sorry, but the truth hurts).

What the liberals never tell you is, where the money for their plans is going to come from. They tell us all of this stuff and say they will change everything, but never do. Look at liberal congress. They went in 4 years ago saying they would do all of this stuff when they've done nothing and blame it on Bush. Well, they can over rule Bush by a 2/3 vote. Most democrat's lie to get the vote, then they will raise taxes and hurl insults at republicans calling them "racist" and "sexist" when that just isn't the case. They just realize that maybe finacial "equality" doesn't work.

Democrats went in 2 years ago as the majority in the senate, but Republicans had the 6 years before that with the majority and the presidency, so what does that tell you about them. What you don't seem to know is that Democrats don't have 2/3 of the vote to overrule Bush, they have the majority, but the majority doesn't do much if the president vetoes every bill that Democrats are able to pass through the Senate.

You don't seem to follow politics because if you did you would know about the stalemates in the Senate and House mostly due to party divide. You don't seem to know much about politics in general or you wouldn't be saying liberal this, liberal that, not all Republicans are conservative and not all Democrats are liberals.

Did you know that 1% of the population that is rich in America have more money than 150 million Americans. The money will come from increasing taxes on the every household that has an income in excess of $250,000 per year, while there will be tax breaks for any household under $150,000. I'm not an economic expert, but I would think that with those taxes and all the federal taxes already in place things can get done. Without increasing the national debt like the Bush administration has to fund their manipulative war ($1 trillion dollars and counting) and idiotic policies.

What a stupid statement "What the liberals never tell you is, where the money for their plans is going to come from.". Do some research before you spew your idiotic rhetoric and like I said if you are middle class and lower and you are planning to vote for McCain kill yourself.

First off, take it easy. Second off, I was just stating my opinions and if you disagree, fine. But dont go around spewing and forcing your opinions down everyones throats and calling them idiots, it is not called for any way you twist it. Of course people will blame the president for every little thing, but he didnt get the easiest start either, being in office less than a year and already under attack, and being fed a lot of BS information about Iraq. While we shouldnt be pouring the money we are into Iraq, we cant just up and desert it either, that would result in many bad things. What a lot of people forget about is the first 2 years or so they are trying to fix or redo what the last president has done, and Bill was not exactly a great president. George is a bad president, but he gets blamed for more than he could help. I just do not understand why some people want to tax the rich just because they or someone in their family worked hard, were smart, and earned a lot of money. Others can do it too, just dont take away from the rich just because they have the money, many of them donate to charities to begin with. Taking away from them will do little to nothing that will benefit this country.

I have my doubts about Obama as well but I cant deny the fact that we have had republicans in the WH for the last 8 years and things have just gotten worse, I might not completely believe Obama but I do think He will make things better..Mccain would be another Bush

Get outta here with that take it easy crap, you take it easy. I'm not spewing or forcing anything down any ones throat (though some republican officials like that), I was simply strongly disagreeing while making a semi aggressive argument. I didn't call anyone an idiot, I said it was a stupid statement and idiotic rhetoric.

It's easy to blame the president because he uses his executive power to veto anything he doesn't like especially when they are constructive and keeps on passing any bills he makes, likes, or wants. If the Senate vetoes one of his favored bills' he immediately drafts a new one to get another vote on it til it passes.

Fix what the last president did? Yeah, he only created 23 million new jobs, while presiding over the largest peace time economic expansion in American history, while the average American family income increased $7,500 while with Bush it's gone down $2,000, while Clinton inherited an economy in recession I might add, no biggie:rolleyes:.

Taxing the rich will do more, what Bush implemented is that everyone is taxed the same. If you tax a household that makes 2 million dollars, a household that makes $200,000, and one that makes $20,000 the same 20% it will undoubtedly hurt the $200,000 and definitely homes more. The 2 million dollar household would get cut down to $1,600,000 they would still be able to afford anything they please, the $200,000 would be reduced to $160,000 and have to make certain, but few cutbacks, while the $20,000 would reduce to 16,000 and be forced to cutback on food, clothing, etc.

I'm not about percentages, but this is my take. Under Barack, the 2 million dollar household would get taxed 25%, the $200,000 household 15%, and the $20,000 household 10%. The increased 5% for 1 $2,000,000 household would pick up the slack for 10 $200,000 or 100 $20,000 households, while the $2,000,000 household would not have to make any cutbacks and still buy anything they please. So it will do more than something to benefit the country.

Yes, but the president gets blamed for things he simply shouldn't take blame for. Bush is a terrible president, and he doesn't represent any decent republicans like say, Lincoln, Grant, Eisenhower or Reagan. He is an idiot that is in the republican party that managed to win 2 elections. It says that Cliton balanced the budget on paper, but paper can be misleading.

You are right that some Republicans are hypocrites, but do you want to explain to me how John McCain is a hypocrite.

And I am not voting based on Indian **** from the past. I am voting because our retarded government pays the indians for what Andrew Jackson did. and yet the blacks are not getting crap are they? I have no problem with Obama being black. I just don't agree with his views (most of them). If he was McCain and McCain was Obama, I would most definately, without a doubt, vote for Obama. I am not racist, I would never treat anybody different because of race, sex or religion. But I will make jokes about them. I make jokes about me being a cracker too lol. In fact, i actually have a thing for black chicks.

You can get a scholarship in college for being anything but white, and we are pouring tons and tons of money into places like Philadelphia where the people just use it for drugs anyway, I don't see why the government feels so obligated to them.

i honestly believe that the government has very little impact on whats going on. There are a group of people (11-15 people) that basically run the world. Your vote does not count. You cannot change anything. Gas will never go down. The economy will continue to get worse, middle class will continue to get more and more brittle. The elite 11-15 people have already picked who the next puppet will be for this nation. With all of that being said, they only choice you have is to try to make the best life you can for yourself and your family. No politics matter. Nothing matters in this world except for trying to live your life and complete YOUR personal goals. **** everything else.

Thats how i view it all
