Ok, can we have a civil discussion about the presedential race? I figure this is a good thing to discuss and we might have some real intelligent things said.

I want Ron Paul in office but it isn't going to happen. So I'm for Obama. I think having a man of color in office will open a lot of doors for people that have had them slammed in their faces.

Sure we can. Personally I could care less, Im against having hilary in the office. She seems like she would use her power to a very large extent. I dont think she would make a good leader. Obama is fine with me if he's elected. He seems to be very down to earth.

I like Ron Paul's FP but I don't agree with him wanting to eliminaste all these social programs that are benefiting many.

Also as an independent voter, I want to see Bushes and Clintons behind us and move forward!

Go Obama!

p.s. he is in a very tough battle though because of all the special groups backing hillary up.

I'm for anyone who's conservative, reasonable, and willing to confront and put a stop to the illegal alien situation (I personaly think the fence should be electric with a ton of barbed wire underneath and around it), and, NO HILARY CLINTON.

weren't we against fences and walls during the cold war? we even helped bring down the Berlin wall.

Fence won't solve the illegal immigration issue...they may reduce it a bit but the traffickers find ways around it...they can make tunnels...whatever!

i think a better solution for US to help Mexico's and South America's economy ...imagine if the illegal immigrants could make 8 bucks in hour in their native country, they wouldn't have to go through the trouble to come to US and get illegal below minimum wage jobs.

Its simple, have guard stations every certain amount of distance, and have patrolman walking/driving along the border constantly. $8.00 over there is nothing, $1 US dollar = 11 of there pecoes (spelling, prounounced pace-oes). IMO they need to be deported back to their own country, America is involved in enough matters as it is, we don't need to re-build Iraq's and Mexico's economy. IMO at this stage of the game, we need to focus on paying the Iraq war funds than helping others at the moment. I think that once your stable and set finacialy, thats when you help others.

I'm with Bill on this. Our economy needs to get stable before we invest in other countries (again) As far as you being cocservative though Im sure we could debate trickle down economics, I think it's BS personally

There are FAR bigger issues in this country besides illegal immigration. In fact, thats VERY far down the list.

The economy is in terrible shape because we have a privately owned federal reserve that prints money at will and charges the USA interest on every dollar we get printed. The elite rich of the world (the old rockefellers and others) have used their power to create a Bank of the US on several seperate occasions. Remember the stock market crash of 1921? The privately owned federal reserve is the culprit of what caused it. They simultaneously called in their loans, which banks, businesses and people couldn't pay. This allowed them to take control of their assets, effectively bankrupting the nation. The money we spend isnt backed by anything like it used to be. Remember the old "silver dollars"? They were backed and representative of the silver the US had in its coffers. JFK was the brave president who tried to put a stop to the corruption of the high ranking government officials, and the secret society of individuals who were trying to rob this country blind in an attempt to hold them monetarily hostage. Unfortunately, we all know what happened to him shortly after signing the legislation that would do that. Most of the income tax we pay goes directly into the pockets of the federal reserve theives.
One of the greatest challenges facing the nation is to trash the current Federal Reserve system, and get the country back on its fet financially.

Another real concern is the health care system. Many countries have a national healthcare system that is paid for with tax dollars by the government. No more HUNDREDS of dollars every month for healthcare premiums, and even more for specialist visits, prescriptions, etc etc.
If we didnt have a fed reserve, those tax dollars would MORE than cover this.

Environmental issues are also of great concern. We need to focus on ELIMINATING the need for fossil fuels, and research and develop more agricultural and synthetic fuel sources. More natural power as well including wind and water.

We also need to get our troops out of the middle east.

The problem with this country is that big business and select individuals have kept the good ole USA in a strangle hold.

Jeez, dont get me started on this subject, LOL

I will vote for whoever I think will make the most significant positive changes in our country. No matter the race, sex, or background.

Check out this site for more info. You will be shocked by some of it, Im sure.

I respectfully disagree with you on Clinton. She is not as bad as others trying to portray her.
She is wife of one of US’ most successful presidents, she has good records being a senator in NY, and she is a very smart lady.

I personally like Obama more but watching the debate last night, I realized she is not as bad as people say she is. I think an Obama \ Clinton ticket would be the best combination the democrats can come up with.

On republican side, living in California, I am almost certain McCain is going to get California and may represent the republican party. He may choose Juliani as his running mate.

It is going to be a tough fight for presidential 08.

Hilary Clinton = downfall of US. We will no longer be the top country (no offence if you like your home country better), we definately would lose a lot from a military perspective, and most of all, she's a liar and a wuss. I think that whole crying act was BS, and even if it wasn't, thats what we need, the president of the United States, the most powerful person in the world, to cry when things aren't going her way. Clinton was finacially succesful, but who's to say some of those numbers weren't tweaked a bit? I'm sure the governments done it before. A very good saying that somes up a lot of Americans is "I love my country but hate my government".

we have had nothing but a bunch of liars in the white house in the past 16 years or so...it's almost a requirement to be a liar in order to be a politician in that level.
(it's like that in every country let me add, politicians lie)

that is why candidates like Ron Paul and Kusinich can never become US presidents because they are too honest and speak their mind out and vote according to what they think is right...

being an independent voter, i am certain the person who will be in the white house is not going to be the most honest person in the world...but i like to see whose lie is less dangerous to me and my fellow American citizens.
