I just bought a new nevatear 100 lb bag in june. In some places above the logo the vinel coating is starting to come off, is this the start of a rip? I just bought the bag. My old heavy bag didn't start ripping until about nine to ten years into its life after constant use, this bag is new, and its alreay showing signs of wear and tear. Under the coating the bag, it seems strong, not like its going leave a hole, it just reminds me of paint chipping. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this with Everlast Nevatear? I've only had experience with leather bags. Thanks in advance.

Never seen that

It sounds like a defect to me. I have used a nevatear bag until recently and for a couple years of continuous use and the only damage it has taken is some smudgin on the label. And I am a heavyweight. The gym I work out at also has one that is a year old with continuous use. You should get a couple good years out of it. However, if you can't take it back you can always get a gel cover.

Thanks for your feed back, but in your opion is it anything to worry about, I mean theres no tearing, just peeling, never saw anything like this on a bag. I personally think the damage is superficial, but what do you think? Thank you

Nevatear should be a multilayer synthetic leather. So even if you had a tear all the way through it, it would take a while to start trailing. So you should be ok for a long time maybe forever if it appears superficial. It adds character.
