I ran into this petiton online and would like to link to it if thats ok. This is for a pension plan for retired boxers, kind of strange that boxing doesnt already have one in place. This petition is to make pensions mandatory for every state, not just California, which has one now. The plan would be to add one dollar to ticket price to help give these guys some security after their careers. More info and the petition is here:http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/help-create-a-professional-boxers-pension-plan
It only takes about 1 minute to fill out, all you need is a valid email address. Thanks to those that sign, it's greatly appreciated.

Just signed. Embarrassing that the sport doesn't have this already. Every professional sport out there has a players union that gets these things done. Boxing absolutely needs one. And if that can't happen, then the state needs to handle it at their level by levying a charge per ticket to be able to provide for these guys down the line. Absolutely great idea, and disgraceful that it hasn't happened already.

I signed it with a loooong comment. It is pathetic that we have to sign a petition for something that seems so elementary.
