Roger Mayweather To Train 50 Cent

It was reported by MTV that Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson is staking his role as a boxer very serious when he makes his next motion picture appearance as one of the leading actors in the movie "The Dance." Jackson shares the billing with popular actor Nicolas Cage.

"I play a fighter in Angola State Prison, and Nicolas Cage plays the founder of the actual boxing program," Jackson said.

The movie begins shooting next year, and is scheduled for a 2008 release. Jackson said that the movie is based on the true story of a veteran boxing coach and the talented fighter he discovers locked up in Louisiana.

Jackson has begun bulking up for the role and revealed that none other than Roger Mayweather, trainer of pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, Jr., will be training him for the movie next year.

"I just started the boxing training, so I'll be in top condition by the time we actually get ready to shoot it," he said. "I'm actually going to be traveling to Las Vegas to train with Roger Mayweather. He trained Floyd Mayweather, who is pound for pound the best fighter right now."
