Hi all,

I'm looking for an intense cardiovascular routine with my punching bag and speed bag (currently in the works of purchasing). Are there any good punching (maybe some kicking, I know this is a boxing forum) techniques and programs out there? Do people strap on weights to there arms for resistance training? I don't want to just throw punches at the bag for 1/2 hr and call it a day...

Thanks

everytime you train you should work on the heavy bag, speed bag, jump rope, shadow boxing, and do some shadow boxing with a resistance band too. I usually just do 3 rounds on the heavy bag in the beginning of my workout and another 3 closer to the end. Work some combinations and form in the beginning before you start throwing big power punches. And theres a good drill my trainer has us do, stand infront of the bag and throw 1 2's for about 30 seconds straight as fast as you can then rest for 10 seconds and do it again. We do that about 6 or 7 times.
