This will be the live/delayed play by play for the roy jones jr fight this saturday night. I Live in oklahoma and the fight will be on at around 10 oclock ( the main event ) so i will most likely be on here around that time to cover this event. Enjoy!!

Its good that we'll have the play by play in here seeing as how noone will be watching it. I really hope that this fight isnt on at the same time as margarito/williams for your sake. Would be a shame if you have to sit through that.

I just now am sitting down to watch the fight. First round goes to anthony hanshaw, becasue of consisted pressure.

You sure can, roy looks a little reluctant to fight but now in the second round he has already stunned hanshaw with two straight right hands.

Hanshaws need just buckled but he holds on, Rounds over. Roy Jones definently gets that round.

third round - not much action through the first minute, hardly a punch thrown, hanshaw has jones up against the ropes but isnt landing any, jones flurries to get off the ropes, hanshaw backs up, jones highsteps up to hanshaw with his hands up ( ala winky wright ) jones catches hanshaw with another straight right and hanshaw's neck snaps back. one minute to go. jones misses with a wide right hand. Hanshaw misses with about 10 jabs. jones lands a 1 -2 , they clench. Jones throws some devastating body punches in the clench. 30 seconds left, jones continues to block punches then shoots out a 1 -2 , he whines up for another straight right and barely missed and falls in the ropes, he gathers himself and the bells rings. Roy jones gets the round on my card and all 3 announces card.

rounds 4, jones comes out in the first minute throwing left hooks that keep hanshaw off for the most part, hanshaw is the aggressor, jones keeps him off though with the jab. They are up against the ropes again with jones digging body punches. out of no where jones lands an uppercut that looks like it takes hanshaws head off, hand show some what stumbles jones into the ropes and jones hurts him with some body punches, jones keeps his hands up and misses with uppercuts. Hanshaw sneaks in a few 1 -2 while roy is agaisnt the ropes but do no damage, roy continues to keep hanshaw off with his powerful body punches. 5 seconds left in the round and roy lands another lightning quick 1 -2 that makes hanshaw back up. Even round.

rounds 5 - hanshaw throws about 6 shots that land on jones gloves and jones throws 2 left hooks to the body and then follows it up with a straight right that sends hanshaw flying into the ropes. hanshaw backs roy up, and juones lands another left hook to the body that seems to hurt hanshaw. hanshaw paws with the jab, like he has been the whole fight, but doenst do anything, jones continues to be the aggressor as of now while holding his hands up, blocking punches and occasionally throwing a punch. 1 minute left, jones lands a straight right that rocks hanshaws head back, not much dmage done though. hanshaw looks afraid to throw but jones isnt letting his hands go like he used too. 30 seconds left, jones lands a right hand left hook combo and then another looping right hand that knocks the sweat off hanshaws face, they tie up and jones continues to dig body punches. definent rj round.

round 6, both fighters claim to knock the other out in this round, doesnt look likely so far. hanshaw hands jones on the ropes for the first 50 seconds telegraphing punches and backs up and then lands a sniff straight right that backs hanshaw up even more. he dances around, and then lands a jumpin left hook that glacnes hanshaws face, hanshaw gets jones on the ropes again where jones lands an uppercut but hanshaw continues to press. jones eye begins to swell but it looked swolen before the fight. looks to be like stitches are in place from a pryor accident. hanshaw lands a stiff right that sends jones into the ropes but doesnt look hurt, jones dances out of the ropes and hands a straight right, hanshaw walks through it. jones lands a jab, hanshaw misses with a counter and jones counteres it with another right, 10 seconds left, hanshaw bullies jones into the ropes but gets caught with another right hand. Jones round.

i appolagize for it being so late, my brother hand a diabetic seizure and it delayed our watching of it but everything is find now and on to round 7. i appolagize to my administrators. and after the fight i will move this to the right thread area. but on to round 7

actually ill pause for a recap so far, jones jr hands look as fast as ever but he is still a little timid to throw punches, and everytime he lands a punch on hanshaw, hanshaw gets hurt, hanshaw has yet to hurt roy jones or even catch him flush. Throw 6 rounds i have jones ahead with a good lead on my card and everyone at ringside agrees as well. jones looks as if he can end it at anytime but chooses to get the rounds in. He is showing he can take a ton of body punishement on the ropes and the fight is highly entertaining although not as dominant as roy jones could and still can be. ok un pause, round 7

round seven, not much action starting out, jones still faiting with the jab and hanshaw looks afraid but then hits jones with 2 jabs that do no damage. jones lands a right but hanshaw takes it well, roy is against the ropes but hanshaw doesnt throw, jones ties up and hanshaw lands body punches for about 20 seconds but jones just smiles. Jones lands about 5 body punches in arow and back hanshaw off for a second but hanshaw throws jones into the corner and begins banging away. jones continues to land body punches and uppercuts but hanshaw is eager to try to knock jones out. Jones isnt fazed at all, jones lands a wicked left hook to the body and hanshaw backs up a little. 1 minute left, hanshaw looks to be taking a break from all the punching and jones is still against the ropes though. hanshaw is starting to wing wild punches bu tjones chooses not to much back. jones lands a straight right when hanshaw takes one step back adn then misses with a wild left hook. round to hanshaw.

round 8 - jones starts out with a right hand lead that misses, and hanshaw once again backs jones up against the ropes, he hits him on the back of the head and jones throws three body punches that stray a bit low to get his attention. hanshaw comes back with a good body shot of his own. jones misses with a 1-2, 2 minutes left, jones faints with th ejab and throws a lazer straight right that catches hanshaw flushes and knocks his head back. jones begisn to toy with hanshaw, as hanshaw looks very timid to pressure at the moment. jones looks to have exceptional handspeed and power in his right hand. Hanshaw has jones against the ropes at the one minute market and continues to hit jones on the gloves and jones occasionally lands an uppercut and left hook to the body. jones backs hanshaw off the ropes and lands another wicked body shot, hanshaw stops throwing with 30 seconds left and jones begins peppering him with straight rights, well only 3 to be exact but both with bad intentions. round ends, hard round to score. ill give it to hanshaw.

round 9, jones left eye is closing even faster now, looks to be squitting up but isnt to swollen. jones is up against the ropes again and choosees to just block punches but the occasional one slips throw his gloves. hanshaw goes on a body attack but gets caught by an uppercut and then a left hook to the ribs that sends hanshaw back. he stumbles, hanshaw is backing up and jones lands 3 more left hooks to the bodies, hanshaw wobbles and tries to tie him up but jones stops throwing. The crowd is goign wild, jones lands a vicious left hook that sneds hanshaw into the ropes. Jones grabs onto hanshaw but then pushes him off, both hands are down by rj and is daring hanshaw to come at him. hanshaw is reluctant to throw again and misses with a jab and ties up, hanshaw lands a right hook to the body but jones jabs and then misses with a bomb of a right hand. He high steps up to hanshaw with his hands down and hanshaw backs up , jones misses with a left hook and the round ends. jones jr round.

round 10, the unoffical scorecards by the annoucnes are 87 to 84 for roy jones. this round starts slow, with no action in the first minute. jones misses with a leeping left hook. hanshaw does nothing. jones misse with a right hand, hanshaw still looks at him. hanshaw paws with the jab and lands but does nothing, hanshaw does a little shake and bake and lands a staright right, hanshaw jumps on him and punishes him against the ropes but no damage isnt being done, jones fights his way off with the same 2 left hooks he has been al night. hanshaw seems to be smoothering himself in the corner, jones is against the ropes and lands 4 fight hooks on handshaws head and hanshaw doenst have room to punch, hanshaw keeps throwing and catches jones with his best flurry with a 1 2 1 but jones takes them nice and the round ends and jones raises his hand. ill give the round to hanshaw.

round 11, jones starts out with another leaping left hook and dances around the ring. hanshaw doesnt attack like he usually does but then seems to accidently headbutt roy jones. Jones grins and fires a body shot to the ribs and hurts hanshaw. hanshaw then landsa right hand to jones chin and jones eats it up and lands a straight right, left hook that stunns hanshaw and follows up with a vicious uppercut that has hanshaw falling into jones arms, jones pushes him off, hanshaw lokos to have no legs, jones lands a straigh tright, and then another, hanshaw grabs on. jones faints,and then lands a 123 to the body and hanshaw holds again, hanshaw begins to wing more punches and jones catches him with another 1 2 to th ebody, hanshaw throws and misses and rj counteres with a 1 2 uppercut with anothe rhuge left hook, he then lasers another staright right hanshaw falls to the canvas. knockdown for roy jones. 30 seconds left and jones doenst look like he wants to finish hanshaw, he is just to ying with him, jones smiles whiel hanshaw nose continues to bleed. jones lets hanshaw off the hook and round 11 goes to jones as a 10 - 8 round.
