I heard he will be aiming Samuel Peter after the Calzaghe fight...

How serious can that be? I think its madness

The Jones who beat Ruiz at HW would probably shut Peter out with ease, the speed difference would be so much. Today i think Jones probably gets brutally KO'd.

Sam Peter is no Larry Holmes, but he's also no John Ruiz. The dude can punch for real and he's pretty agile for a stocky tank-like dude.

I don't think Sam Peter will take this fight seriously, however, the HW division is a little weak though. I believe that if RJ wants to fight Peter, then he should at least have a warm up fight.

He would be killing 2 birds with one stone, since DK is letting him promote this show with Calzaghe (which he didnt have to), he would be setting himself up for that since DK co-promotes Sam Peter and would promote RJJ's half, and if he some how beat both while being the underdog in both he would set himself up to be talked about as Top 20 or even top 10 p4p of all time.

Peter is faster and punches harder than Ruiz did a few years ago and Jones has slowed down while showing his weakness, which happens to be Peter's strength, that would be an extremely tall task. And first he has to get through Calz which won't be easy.
