Ibragimov doesnt fight smart and that culd cost him here. He crosses his feet when he moves left making himself unbalanced when he gets hit. He has a tendency to trade too much when he doesnt need too. I wouldnt be suprised if Briggs beats him we all saw what happend to Liakhovich in the 1st round when he tried to get brave and catch Briggs and got caught pretty good with a couple of shoots that made him stay away from Briggs for the rest of the fight. Briggs is a good counterpuncher and is very dangerous
im not really sure about this fight. it could go either way.
you think so.... why? im unfamilir with him, i know briggs well. I know he has horrible stamina and great power.
Is it really on Pay-Per-View? How much will it be?
30 dollars and yes, dont buy it.

Maybe I'll watch it with a friend. $30 isn't that much and there is no way it will be more boring than Delahoya Mayweather.
you thought that fight was boring, it lacked all out action but it was an intense fight for a boxing fan

Delahoya didn't land a single good punch until the end, and that punch barely affected maywhether. Maywhether landed small punches that didn't do anything to delahoya and were barely noticeable. It was just delahoya pouncing at maywhether and missing wildly most of the time and maywhether scoring a few ineffective punches. This fight was similar to Valuev Chagaev, but at least that was on MSG.

 No way was it even remotely similar to Valuev Chagaev. First of all Vaulev has ZERO talent. Second, you got to see the best in the business against the people's favorite. Floyd made Oscar look silly like you said. That excites me just as much as him landing big punches. Remember Floyd moved up YET AGAIN to fight DLH so you can't expect him to be throwing bombs.
Briggs

I always loved Briggs- he has all the tools- size, speed, movement etc.
Big questions- Stamina and will power.
A motivated, well trained Briggs can be serious trouble for any heavy including the big Russians.
In the past he lived as the classic underachiever- I hope this has changed for him.

well here are some weigh in pics and looking at them i can tell you one thing, briggs is goign to be out of breath out of the 1st round, doesnt look like he trained at all.

That just makes the fight popular, anticipated and expensive, not better. It's like saying you produce good cars now because you have an interesting history and a powerful advertising campaign.

I wasn't expecting him to be throwing bombs, but these guys aren't exactly flyweights, either.
Actually, now that Briggs has some fat, he actually looks like a heavyweight boxer as opposed to a bodybuilder.

I agree- he has a higher body fat % but nothing higher than average.
I thought Briggs looked solid. 273 is a lot of meat.
Big

Briggs is a huge guy. I read a good article at maxboxing about Briggs.
One of Floyd Mayweather's uncles use to train Shannon - some nice inside info. It gives insight into who Briggs is as a fighter and why he has not gone further. Commensts from Floyd's quiet uncle.
