Besides an aging Evander Holyfield who is probably the most famous Heavyweight still going around today... and a blown-up James Toney... who exactly is the big name? There's new Lewis or Tyson or Ali like character... are we ever going to have something like that in Heavyweight boxing ever again... ever? Not for a long time I guess

I suppose the biggest name now is Wladimir Klitschko. He appears to be head and shoulders above the rest of the heavyweight class.

Klitchko could take Toney right now. Toney is past it, and a blown up supermidle weight. Toney has the most skill, but he doesn't have anything else over anyone.

I hope everybody can see why the new Rocky Balboa movie is so good. For starters... it's surprisingly good and makes up for the incredibly bad Rocky V... and made up for how fantasy like all of the others became (although 3 and 4 were very entertaining)! Also... it's probably the only role Sylvester Stallone was ever good at... he was born to play the part! I'm getting off track here... the point is heavyweight boxing in this modern day and age is dead!!! It's just freak shows and blown up middleweights... as well as really old past their prime boxers who really should go away... not to mention other old boxers who were never really that good in the first place! The new Rocky Balboa movie has style and substance to it... not seen in the heavyweight division... and the whole Rocky vs. Dixon (Antonio Tarver) pays homage to the whole Marciano vs. Ali computer fight scenario... an Italian-American who relies mainly on toughness and power... and an African-Ameriacn who has speed, skill and cockiness in his stride! Please see the movie... it's the best thing you'll ever get out of anything and everything to do with Heavyweight Boxing in this modern day and age!!!

Sorry about the double post but I just worked out who my favoured heavyweight is in this modern day and age of heavyweight boxing...

"The Nigerian Nightmare" Samuel Peter... who has drawn comparisons to a young George Foreman. He is a bit on the heavy side at almost 260lbs. for a 6'1" man... BUT THE MAN IS A NATURAL HEAVYWEIGHT... not a blown up steroid taking Middleweight (up yours James Toney... I've lost my respect for you) and his only loss... in which he knocked down one of those giant Ukranian brothers 3 times... and he wasn't knocked down at all... well... in my opinion... Samual Peter is MY MAIN MAN in the heavyweight division... his only 26... and I hope like hell that sooner or later he is UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD and FUTURE BOXING HALL OF FAMER!!! I also like him because he doesn't drink or smoke and is very against it... and... he used to beat up bullies for other people as a kid... "VERY COOL!!!"

Don't get your hopes up about him being undisputed, I doubt we will ever have an undisputed champion again unless things take a huge change.

Yea nobody wants to fight each other because none of the champions feel definite that they can win against another belt holder. The only way that the belts would be unified is if people stopped watching them fight nobodys forcing them to fight someone with some meaning.

Who would I say is the big name? Nobody. They all suck. Some consider klitchko the best of the worst. Until he starts fighting other belt holders I'm not willing to call him anything. He needs to start calling people out and if they duck him make it known that they are dodging him.

im backing evander holyfeild even though he is about a zillion, he never ducked a fighter a nd he has been undisputed champ before. sam peter needs to work on his techqnique before going anywhere near wlad again maybe after beating toney then maskaev he could get a second shot at wlad, evander vs briggs early 07 evander wins by ud !!!

As past it as Evander Holyfield is... he doesn't duck anybody! I've never... ever... known him to duck anybody so you could be onto something there!!!
