I'm trying to get a pair or boxing or sparring gloves that won't cut or bruise but still will be felt by the opponent. I've been using sock'em boppers, but they keep popping.

If you don't want hard gloves to semi-hard gloves, stay away from everlast, title, grant, reyes, and ringside.

Go with rival, windy, or fairtex, they are for the most part, pillow gloves.

The heavier the glove, the safer and softer it gets. If you really don't want to feel as much, get 16-18oz. You aren't supposed to train/spar with anything smaller than 14oz anyways.
