IMO Mayweather by a long shot. I wasn't ever a huge fan of Whitaker.

Whitaker by easy UD. And also has the better reign. And it's not even close!

what does the record have to do with it?

it's all about who's good. sweetpea had one of the best defenses in boxing during the 90's.

im pretty sure floyd would never get inside whitaker's defense. here's a video.

The fact that he has 5 fights he didn't win has a lot to do with it. I don't need a video to see Whitaker's highlights. He is one of my favorite guys of all time, and I have his career set. I have compared the two in the past and I strongly feel that Floyd would own him.

Yea, if records meant who won and lost then Douglas would never have beaten Tyson. I am not a fan of either fighter, but I think Sweet Pea would get an easy UD. I don't think it would be an entertaining fight with Floyd running around the ring and Sweet Pea dancing around Floyd.

These are a few reasons why I don’t give records much importance
1-Oscar should have a W against Tito
2-Pernell should have a W against JCC Sr.
and the list goes on.

And also the mismatches that are purposely put together to build “records for the record lovers”

A controversial defeat to DLH, a loss to Trinidad... nothing to be ashamed of at all. His last fight was stopped due to an injury, which went down as a loss too.

Prime Whitaker-Prime Floyd would be a good fight IMO. Although i dont particularly like Floyd, i think its a fight he is well capable of winning.

records mean nothing.

anybody can go 50-0 fighting scrubs but if they move up and fight guys with 5-6 loses who mix at world level they get starched.

Speat Pea hands down easy ud he would win 10 of 12 round and he had the better reign. He fought legends in there prime. The best defense sense Willy Pep. BF runs to make people miss and look funny. Sweat Pea would stand right infront of them and do the same thing.
