Antonio Tarver v.s Bernard Hopkins

It seems as though the majority is picking Hopkins to win. One stated because he lost his last 2 fights, he would be hungry for a win this time. One of them did pick Tarver, on the basis that Tarver stated he would KO Hopkins in 5. He said that Hopkins in s a notoriously slow starter, and the Tarver will have a big lead in the cards. Most are taking it to decision, and not expecting a knock out. I think I am gonna pass on this one, and watch the replay for free on HBO the following week. I am picking Tarver by decision on this one.

Tarver Vs Hopkins

MAN, I NEW HOPKINS WOULD BEAT TARVER. FOR THE SIMPLE FACT THAT TARVER KNOCKED OUT ROY JONES, SO NATURALLY TARVER THINKS HE CAN KNOCK EVERYBODY OUT BUT HE'S NOT THAT GIFTED AT ALL. HE REMINEDS ME OF (MOSLEY VS FORREST)SOME GUYS JUST HAVE U TIMED AND TARVER WAS THAT GUY 2 BEAT ROY JONES.EXCEPT THE ONLY DIFFRENCE WAS JONES JR GOT KO'D AND MOSLEY DIDN'T. (MAN TARVER IS WACK AN HE HAS A BIG MOUTH) THE FIGHT:thumbsup:

I still think that Tarver is the better fighter! It is easy to say you knew Hopkins would win after the bout, anyone can do that...lol I think if he didn't have to drop 40+ pounds for the fight, he would have schooled Hopkins.

I'm watching the fight right now in the middle of the 8th round and it looks pretty much academic. This was old school teaching new school. I know how big of a role the weight issue has but it all feels like excuses. You train, you get to the weight, you get comfortable at that weight, you fight. No excuses.
