Jermain Taylor has told Joe Calzaghe he will not fight him in Wales.

The American,who faces Cory Spinks next Sat insists a bout between the two will only happen if Calzaghe travels to the USA

Taylor told Wales on Sunday "Calzaghe is a great fighter and $6m will open my ears. But he called me out,so he'll have to come to me."

I dont think Joe will do it,Frank wont let him

It would be a good fight and i think taylor is making the right choice. I wouldnt risk getting robbed in calzaghe home town. They should fight in las vegas, no such thing as biased judges there, just sucky ones. But they are usually right on who wins, just the score's are always to wide or to close. I hope calzaghe does this, he has to come over here sometime. What better way than to challenge the middlweight champ for his suppermiddleweight champ, it would probabley make ppv. I'd buy it.

yeah but I don't know if thats going to happen.. Joe is B*TCH and JT SUCKS... did you see last nights fight..... man it was so boring... but JT won most of the rounds. It should have been a UD but one judge was sleeping... anyway JT has a lot to think about because hes looking horrible. tommys mad at HBO... mad at Taylor, and just mad at everyone that wanted Taylor to win. Me personally i didn't care who won.. i didn't have any bets going. i just wanted to enjoy some boxing... and i enjoyed the undercard.....

when it came to the main event, it was Taylor the whole fight with spinks winning i think 3 MAYE 4 rds. period dot, check the stats pimpin... Taylor connected the solid shots which is the reason he won not the SPRINTER SPINKS... end of story...

anyway, I don't see Taylor fighting Pavlik or Calzaghe.. and I don't see him staying the champ very much longer if he keeps this type of fighting up... deep don there is a champ, but i dont know where he is...

Taylor is the perfect example of fighting down to your opponents level. He looks great with greats and ok with good fighters.

agreed. I still pick him to win aginst pavlik. i'd say pavlik has a good chin but miranda like hbo said all night didnt erally have to much snap on his punches. I dunno i still see taylor hitting harder than both guys. I dont know now anymore though. but i will pick taylor to win against his next opponent, unless its floyd mayweather.

he has shown his lack of quality and some people continue act like the guys has a chance he does not. Joe is a busy guy that brings more speed and power then Taylor is used to let alone the fact that he is a bigger guy naturally.

you say this now window, and i do agree partially, but no one expected taylro to look so bad and no one would expect calzaghe to look bad if they ever fought, but it is very possible. Just remember, calzaghe would most likely be 36 when they do fight. Now im not saying that his age has anything to do with it, but even though he feels young, 36 is past your prime and very likely to get old over night. Its been this way for a long time. you want to get out by age 35 or your risking alot. I favor taylor in this fight for reasons ill keep to myself, but if cazlage brings the calzaghe that beat lacy, it'll be one hell of a fight.

the age thing I will agree some what . I will be 40 this month and god knows I am not the same as I was even 5 years ago. I guess I have a tough time seing Taylor change his stripes and be more busy he would have to. to beat a guy like Joe those few shots wouldn't cut it against a busy guy with fast hands and some pop in his shots.

Taylor will get ass raped by Calzaghe. The guy could have so easily lost to Spinks. Taylor isnt no boxer, he has no passion for the sport, no pride. Besides, i dont think he fights Calzaghe anyway.

I couldn't disagree more. I think Taylor will figure out that he will have to fight with Joe rather than take a nap like he did against Spinks. If it goes to a slug fest I don't know who I'd pick. Oh and Taylor walks around at 185 easily.

how do you work that out?

joe fought veit in germany where he's a hero to his natives. i give any fighter credit who comes away from there with a win.

miranda and pavlik are realy 3 and 4 in the 160 division, arthur abraham is the #2 guy, do you guys realy think jt would even contemplate going to germany to fight this guy. i dont think so.

anyway calzaghe is in the u.s just now and he wants to fight in vegas so we'll see if taylor will still make these excuses, i have a felling he will.
