The boxers who took the best shots

Who do you think could take the best shot? I voted for Tex Cobb, he and George Chuvalo were never knocked down in their careers. Tex Cobb was never even staggered, but Ali had Chuvalo a little wobbly before. Earnie Shavers hit Tex Cobb clean with his best rights and Tex didn't even flinch.

Rocky Marciano

Cobb and Ali weren't bad either!
Holmes had about the same as Ali. Marciano came in at 3 with me, and then it was Quarry at 4, and Holmes and Ali tied for 5.

I agree, Holmes and Ali were about the same. The only time Holmes ever got really clobbered was by Tyson... and that was way past Holmes' prime. Holmes would have chewed up that Tyson and spit him out 10 years earlier!

Tyson's chin was close to china in my opinion.. one hard punch did him in as a fighter. Holmes had lost quit a lot of his power by them.
the heavyweight with the best chin ever has to be oliver mCcall, pure granite.

Lennox Lewis wobbled him though intheir rematch, Earnie Shavers couldn't even make Cobb flinch or wobble or do anything except stand there and get punched, then come back to win.

the guy had a breakdown in the ring, dropped his hand's and invited lewis to hit him he wasn't hurt he just cried.
I should've put Randall "Tex" Cobb on my list of greatest every heavyweighs who ever was a World Championship... did anybody vote for him in "Other"?

Cobb had to be nimb in the face, Shavers hit him with his best right and Cobb didn't even flinch lol.

LOL, that was screwed up. Mills Lane (the ref at the time) looked into his corner and saw he was crying and Lane got the strangest look on his face lol. Mills Lane was probably the best ref ever in my opinion. Joe Cortez and Richard Steele weren't bad either. The ref that did the Holmes-Cobb fight, horrible. He should have stopped that fight, CObb was defence less. The only thing that kept Cobb coming was his determination and most of all his chin of Titanium.
no doubt mills lane was the best ever, not many ref's would have the gut's to dq mike tyson.

He should have let it continue.. Holyfield and Tyson could've had a "who can bit hardest" contest :)

mike shouldn't have bitten evander but he was butted for 2 fights evander tried to bully tyson who was the bully himself, dirty tactic's from evander.

LOL, he gave Tyson a warning and told Tyson very VERY clearly that if he bit Holyfield one more time he would DQ him. So what does Tyson do???? He runs straight up to Holyfield, eats a jab, and bites his ear....again.

Doesn't speak to highly of Tyson's overall intelligence level, does it? I suppose Holyfield did do a little head-butting... however, Tyson started biting because he knew he couldn't beat Holyfield - that's the real truth.

Yup, and because he was just an abusive, crazy, dirty fighter.
Don't forget you have some hard heads in the lower weights as well. the first one that comes to mind is Wayne McCullogh.Duran,Chavez,Gatti, just to name a few

I know, but in my humble opinion the heavies have it the worst because of the huge bombs they throw. They get hit harder.
