"The Future of Boxing" Heavyweight

In the wake of the Oscar Baby Floyd fight this board has been at a stand still. Just thought that I can breath some new life into this BOXING board.

The next undisputed Heavyweight champ will be Sam Peter. He is going to knock out both Klitschko brothers within a 12 month preiod. He is the future of Heavyweight boxing. Now who thinks any different than that?

hope your right.....
I was at wal mart last week and i woulda sworn i saw peter shoping.... glanced real quick but he was walking out the store when i was coming in..... maybe maybe not??
wasnt about to chase him out the store or anything
Ermm i doubt that, any good young talent coming through now could easily unify the division. I dont rate Wlad, Peter, Maskaev, Chagaev or Valuev at all. The Brit David Haye has an awesome chance of being a world champ in the future!

Hes a 26 year old Brit stepping up from CW. Hes gona fight Mormeck for the Cruiserweight title later this year then step up to HW. Hes already fought at HW though, he beat Bonin via KO in the first round. Bonin was ranked about 12 or something on WBC, but it was quite generous. Had built a good record fighting nobodies. Heres the YouTube link:

next cruiserweight star.
I don't see the HW division being anything special anytime soon!!! Not until they make a serious effort to unify the champion.

I dont think Vitali will ever fight Peter.

Unless Maskaev somehow gets by Peter, Vitali will stay retired or fight weak opostiton & avoid Peter.

I think Wladimir will also avoid Peter if possible.

I am not saying that there is no chance Wladimir can beat Peter again it would be a good fight. I just dont see it happening.

And Vitali is overated & a coward.

I remember when everyone from the UK said they had the next HW star what was his name...........................oh yeah Audley Harrison.

Haye may do well at HW lets see how he takes a shot from a big HW like Peter or Klitschko.
I am not sold on David Haye quite yet.

you seen him fight?
Man, I don’t even know what to think about the Heavyweight division right now. I hear in one ear that TOMMYGUN (from rocky) is making a come back. I also hear that Evander Holyfield is making a come back... what happened to the Heavyweights... I remember the GOOD OL' days when it was all about this division... man I don’t care what happens... I JUST WANT SOMETHING TO HAPPEN...I do like the Klitchko’s.

This is one of the divisions that is really hurt by numerous "world titles"

When was the last time 2 title holders fought? They have no reason to because 4 of them right now can sell their next fight as a heavyweight title bout & make good money fighting average competition.

If there was only 1 Title some of these guys would have to stop fighting the Peter Okhellos & Owen Becks to make some good money.

They can all say they wanna unify but not 1 of the champs really wants to & has no reason to.
There needs to be one champion and thats how the Heavyweight will be saved. Less fights should be pay per view and more on CBS, NBC, ABC and ESPN. get some exposure for these fighters.
