even when tyson was a shot fight peopl still believed that one day the old tyson would show up. however it never happend. this is to thank mike tyson .

i met mike in glasgow when he fought savarse, judah was there too. tyson was great he was talking to all the fans and signing autographs and seemed a real genuine guy who loves his fans. judah was a punk and was boastfull of what he was going to do to our boy witter. little does he know that witter is not a well liked fighter over here.

If mike had never met gibbons and never left rooney, he would probabley still be heavyweight champ. I easily could see him 50 plus and 0 if things were that way. Mike Tyson is the best thing that ever happened to the sport of boxing. Although not a role model, he wasnt as dumb as we all think he is. He just didnt know how to act around people and because of the lack of love people showed him and the way people used him, it made him angry inside. I wish mike could work all his problems out and just spend the rest of his life with his kids. Long LIve Iron Mike Tyson. The reason i started boxing.

Yea after Mike boxing started the downward spiral that it is still on. Outside of these message boards it is very hard to find fight fans.

no kidding, about 80 percent of the people i meet on the streets dont even knwo who mayweather and delahoya are. Everyone knows about tyson though. I wish boxing would come back. The only way to bring it back is to have it on free channels, people dont want to pay 50 bucks for ppv or pay 10 to 20 bucks a month for hbo and showtime. espn2 does a good job with friday night fights but it needs to be on abc and those kind of channels as well.

That and we need a new knockout king. That is what draws in the casual fans. We need a fanworthy heavyweight to come in and blow through everyone. I'm talking a straight up dismantleing of all of the top HW's out there. It might be a while.
