We all know that Toney will be fighting Peters on Jan 6th 2007 the winner of that fight gets a shot at the WBC title. Oleg is the WBC champ at this time and Hopkins want to fight him for the WBC heavyweight title. Its possible that Toney will win his fight and its also possibe that Hopkins will get his fight with Oleg if he is still the hamp after his fight comming up. So here is the fight for the WBC heavyweight title sometime in 2007 what do you think?

Toney vs Hopkins (Toney ko7)

That would be a very interesting fight to see. Two former middleweights now the best competition in the heavyweight class. Toney KO in the 7th you say? I will have to see Bernard in a heavyweight fight before I can judge his quality as a heavyweight fighter.
Even in the light heavyweight class I would say Toney ko7.
I just don't know. Hopkins is a very smart fighter. He comes with a plan, he follows it, but can adjust. He's never seemed the type to come into the ring without some idea of an answer to the angles and possibilities that might happen.

Toney to me though.. I've just never been impressed by him with the exception of a couple of good fights. In the past two years as a blubberweight, he's got 2 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw and 1 no contest. He's too slow and unless he can train those fat, neck-rolls to catch punches, he'll get out-pointed by Hopkins.

:dunno: I don't know why I don't like James Toney, I just don't for some reason.
Toney to slow? He might have the fastest hands in the heavyweight division
b-hop is the perfect heavy.
he hits and holds.
i could see tony actualy train for that fight
a can't pick.

Maybe if your only six inches away from him. :cheeky4:
Erik its alot of ifs but it might actually happen. We never know when it comes to this boxing game.
Hopkins vs toney is much more interesting fight then ,another toney-peter snoozer or hopkins vs maskawhatevr. Hopkins is credile light heavyweight and Toney could only benefit by loosing that sumo wrestling belly of his. You could call this one the last of the angry black men.I like to see whoos got the worst attitude:it would be toss up fo sho
Screwpost Toney is a great fighter on the inside and he can hit you from just about any angle. I dont see anyone in the heavyweight division that can match his hand speed he really only lacks power. He can fix that problem too if he just start training with weights and doing some push-ups. I mean the gut has tits I beat he can fill a B cup. But hes still my pick to be the next undisputed heavyweight champ.
toney is got to be the ugliest and nastiest boxer for lack of another word . Ilove to see somebody smash his allready flat nose right thru his head
toney wont beat sam peter, he will be lucky to survive being ko'd this time, the only way he beats peter is if he can come in about 210 pounds but we all know he wont put the hours in training. if hop cant get to maskaev before peter does look for hop to fight elsewhere because he would know peter has to much power for him. hop is a very smart guy and would only fight a maskaev or ruiz type hw, even briggs would have to much for him. lets see what holyfeild does in an upcoming title shot and if he wins dont be surprised to see hop fight him. :cheeky4:
First I think that Toney will win the rematch against Peters. And that was a good point at the end of your last reply Tommygunn. I would like to see that fight too between Hopkins and Holyfield

Hopkins vs Holyfield (Hopkins tko10)
Who really wants to see 2 guys in their late 30s/early 40s and past their prime go at it in a weight division that they really shouldn't be in? Perhaps if they were Super Middleweight close to a decade ago... that'd be something!
