#1- Reasonable Doubt - Jay-Z: The lyrics, beats, choruses, and the stories are great on this album. Can't Knock the Hustle, Politics as Usual, Feelin' It, D'Evils, Can I Live, Bring It On, and Regrets had me hooked and I still listen to this album to this day. Dead Presidents is probably my favorite song of all time and is one of the BOAT.
#2- It Was Written - Nas: This is my favorite Nas album becuase the songs are wavy, flossy, fly, with a big time hustler swagger. All the tracks are great or real good it never sounds dated. Lyricly he kills it on all tracks.
#3- Illmatic - Nas: Second to none in lyrics, to any album. This album was the changing of the guard, it made everybody that was rapping, that hadnt already, have to change their style. One Love is the best storytelling track ever, no track is skipped, and rhymes still go over peoples heads to this day.
#4- It's Dark And Hell Is Hot - DMX: The hype tracks get you hype, the vibe tracks vibing. I never get bored wit this one. This one started putting Def Jam to its all time high. The production is hot, rhymes are fire and concepts are creative and underated.
#5- All Eyes On Me - 2Pac: Couldnt stop playing this one when it came out. The beats are bumpin', rhymes are tight, concepts is hot. The sigles had me wearing out the rewind button, real catchy, Meth killed it in his track to.
Honorable mention: Ready To Die, Capital Punishment, Flesh Of My Flesh Blood Of My Blood, Hell On Earth, The Infamous, Stillmatic, The Blueprint.
